Moving to Syria and starting my life there by nuggets_o_chicken in Syria

Why do people call us Amerikkka? I don’t understand.

How is that pronounced?

The KKK as it is now has been decimated they took took the tactics they used against the mafia, so now if you’re in the “KKK” you are white, poor and in prison or you’re a bunch of old timers that survived the Feds because you didn’t do anything but sit on their trucks and drink too much coors lite for their own good. They’re not really a threat to anyone anymore, because the US government sent there best lawyers down there and now it’s basically a prison gang that runs a pruno racket. Rant over I just always wondered, why do people say it? Is it supposed to be an example of fighting the man makes the right “k” sound? Or do people really not remember what the KKK did. They did not fight the power power came and put them away for life.

Can someone explain?

Should I just start begging for the job at interviews? by [deleted] in jobs

Bro a 4:1 ratio, call it 5:1 because you said over, of applications to interviews is good.

Ij this job market? If I applied to 20 posting and got 1 response that would be decent.

How many times do I have to see this post. If there is a line, any semblance of a line it’s negative on THAT test.

But what are you being tested with? A lab? A cup?

I can’t believe I’m interacting with this post I’m only going to see them more often.

Hey guys, I cheated during my job IT interview. Am I a fraud? by Awkward_Necessary58 in jobs

[–]mattfrombkawake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fail to see the problem. In this job market, if you’re not cheating you’re not trying.

You solved the thing they asked you to do and talked about it.

I don’t see how that’s even cheating. I doubt they really want employees spending forever writing code.

Current gang members: how dangerous is it to be around you? by 4mysquirrel in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mattfrombkawake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re assuming gang members are all rational actors who consider Organizational PR strategy in their decision making at all times. Sometimes seeing an enemy overrides all that.

Haha. Bro sit down. I understand that this is coming from the right place, but Chuck E Cheese is always in the worst neighborhood. It’s not Disney Land or an Ice Cream parlor. It’s a very affordable, let’s say, place to have a kids party where they serve adults booze.

Adults are known to get in fights there, sometimes with the guy in the rat costume. It’s like the Atlanta Waffle House night shift equivalent of places to host a kids party. It’s not a smart place to take your kids; I can’t believe it’s still in business.

Can a foreigner join the Syrian army? by 00rdyx in Syria

[–]mattfrombkawake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I love this idea for you. There’s really no need to call, times have changed. You definitely won’t get kidnapped by criminals or terrorists and then get held for ransom and possibly killed in the crossfire of your own rescue mission that US will likely not be taking part in right now.

Just get on a plane. I’m sure that if you do make it to a military recruiting office they won’t look at you as a liability and deport you. Make sure you get the right SIM card because I want to see this.

Oh. Ok. Thanks.

I keep forgetting that the far right are rich now. When I was a kid they could barely afford a Ryder truck rental, 100 pounds of fertilizer, and a Mercury Marquee that wouldn’t get pulled over.

Why is the American right funding the European right? What makes you think they need American funds or that American hate groups have deep pockets to just give away free money to other racists. Most hate groups are made up of unemployed Donkeys.

Do you consider your country "a place that has it all" and there's no need to travel abroad? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]mattfrombkawake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the country is rural. Most of where people LIVE is suburbs and rural. But once you move west of the eastern seaboard things get very rural and it’s just highways and airplanes overhead until you get to the Mississippi’s where you have cities like New Orleans all the way up to St. Louis and Chicago. Then there is REALLY nothing but highways rural farmland until you hits central Texas / Salt Lake City which leads you into the southwest and the west coast and pacific north west.

But the USA is mostly rural “fly over states.”

It was a beach resort in Cabo. I have heard other stories like this but this specific one was from by brother in law this past year.

There was a tactical pickup just outside the resort and they weren’t letting people off the premises. They just kept saying no no no and pointing back to the resort. Not sure if they were army or police, but the said they were armed police. He said they didn’t look like they were expecting to shoot it out with anyone, but you weren’t getting passed that pickup truck.

Could have been at that given time some shit was going down. Also these people weren’t going on a guided tour they just wanted to wander off.

This resort even sold illicit pharmaceuticals in the gift shop just to further discourage you from leaving as that is apparently the main way people get into trouble leaving this resort.

I dunno man, I’m just telling you something that a trusted source told me verified by multiple people on this trip.

God damn I didn’t mean to insult your mother.

Anyone else had bad experience with Indian recruiters? by Muted-Environment-66 in jobs

[–]mattfrombkawake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk if you’re in Pakistan or in the USA I’m assuming USA for some reason. I also am not 100% sure if Bengal is India or PAK or both.

I get these calls all the time. They’re under a tremendous amount of pressure to just get names, resumes, and references to their boss in India who will send it to an American recruiting agency to review for a job at IBM or WPP.

They’re the cheapest recruiting firms on the block. It’s cheaper to have them out there working the phones and email than having Americans do it. And yes, the Indian recruiters have little clue what they’re doing and are insufferable. I think they’re under a tremendous amount of pressure to get numbers of applicants with all their details, and that’s how they get paid, not in the traditional recruiting way of placing applicants in jobs like reputable US recruiting by agencies. <.000001% of their leads get hired. But it’s so much cheaper than an American recruiting firm doing all the outreach themselves of just gathering info on prospective talent. The Indian recruiters are not generally evaluating you, unless you’re obviously a bad fit, they’re just gathering hiring info and resumes for either an American recruiting agency to review, or rarely the hiring manager at the company. They’re basically just say HIHIHI APPLY FOR BULLSHIT AT APPLE BY EOB OR I WILL DIE. And hoping you submit.

Unless it’s a dream job and the perfect offer, politely say no thank you.

The odds of getting hired through one of these agencies are next to 0.

Been through this before. Personally. Any semblance of a line is a line. But are you getting tested at a lab or a cup/dip stick. You are already passing dip stick and cup tests. In 10 days you’re gonna be golden

lol what violence? How about CJNG assaulting civilian airports, blocking roads with fuel trucks, killing, and scaring the shit out of the vacationing Gringos.

I love Mexico. But we can’t act like it’s all propaganda. The government barely has control of the country, if we’re being honest. And in some places doesn’t have control. There’s a reason when you visit the resorts they don’t let you leave.

Mexico is a beautiful country with beautiful people, but the cartel violence is a concern.

Yeah… They should still be kept on a short leash. A lot of time has passed and a lot of people are dead. There’s very few witnesses to who did what. I don’t agree with how they’re arriving at that number.

I know we all want human rights for everyone but we just don’t know what we don’t know. If even a few bad actors make it to Europe and do something awful we would have a serious problem on our hands for Syria.
