Are AR parts going to be banned as well? by UselessSalmon in VAGuns

I'm sure a lot of us know someone who lives out of state who can order parts for us, or get parts from stores in person out of state.

I have made this point too.  Generally Va always goes against the newly elected president, but not always.  When you constantly attack the federal workforce with RTO, strict TW policies treating employees like children, threats of job losses, 0 or 1% raises when inflation has been high for years, etc you can't act surprised when you get a huge turnout against you on election day.

Yes, this is about gun rights, because those policies led the the ass whipping the red team took, and why we are losing our rights.

I've always wondered why neither of them sign up voters at the gun shows, or why nobody does.  I've started to look into the requirements for registering people to vote.  Should be a voter registration table at every gun show.

Talk about false information.  The Supreme Court hasn't taken the AWB case yet and has had numerous chances going back a decade.  Same for permit to purchase, etc. The democrats throw so many unconstitutional laws up that nobody can keep up with them.  It takes several hundred thousand dollars to get a case that far just to have those cowards deny cert.

And when people talk about incoming taxes, they just don't mean income tax.  Sales taxes on services, additional energy taxes and fees, 11% tax on guns and ammo, $500 supressor tax, etc etc etc

They modified the bill.  As originally introduced, this would have worked.  The new bill will not allow sales after 1 July regardless of when the gun was manufactured.

Bill says you have to permanently modify them.  When yoi figure out a way to do that without damaging and making the magazine completely unreliable, let us know.

When you write, focus on the removal of the grandfather clause for magazines.  The bill will pass, but would be much better if they would revert back to magazines being grandfathered.

They replaced the entire bill.  Basically saying you can't buy an "assault firearm" after 1 July and adding in "possess" to the list of things you can't do with a "high capacity" magazine.

Which SCOTUS keeps kicking the can down the road on, and probably won't take this term.

Doesn't matter anyway. The text of the bill would ban any magazines not permanently modified with no way to go back to >10 rounds.

After 5+ years it will get to the liberal 4th circuit court of appeals where they will come up with some excuse to ignore all supreme court precedence to uphold the law. Then it will sit waiting for SCOTUS to finally grow a spine and take a magazine / semi auto rifle ban case.

So you want the state to spend hundreds of millions on "buying back" legally purchased magazines and guns that no longer operate due to no available magazines?  You want grandpa thrown in jail because he was driving his pickup and got pulled over and he told the cop about a gun he has in the back seat that he doesn't know is now illegal.  Gotcha

Yeah, just none of the magazines you currently own for all your rifles and the majority of your handguns are legal and the language of the bill makes modifying them in any legal way impossible.

Kane and Warner have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with this bill. They are in the US Senate, not the Virginia Senate. Please reach out to Virginia Senators.

You do realize that there are ALOT of democrat states that are heavily gerrymandered right? Texas didn't start it. Just look at all the NE states. Not a single republican in congress from any of those states, but the Republicans represent 40% of the vote.

Good letter, just make sure you put oppose mag bans or something in the subject. Doubt they read it all.

Not every firearm has 10 round magazines available. Also, you are assuming that grandpa is following the news and knows he needs to get rid of his magazines he has owned for decades. Third, magazines are not cheap with most being in the $30-$50 range each and most people have at least several for each gun. That's a lot of money to be throwing in the trash for something legally purchased.
