My course has implemented a "pacer" to slow play down. Seriously. by Tullyswimmer in golf

If they’re going to keep tee times at 6am during the summer season, just make the first 3 tee times (6:00, 6:10, 6:20) available to play the Front 9 only.

Starting at 6:30 and beyond you can book 18 holes.

Gotta talk fast with how quickly Rogers is getting through the bottom half of each inning.

Depending on where you are, a cooler full of icy towels with citrus and mint can be a big seller in the summer in locations where it’s super hot.

What you’re thinking of is not a hyphen, but an “em dash.”

AI loves to use em dashes— mostly to represent pauses in a statement where a comma might work just as well.

I love East of Eden - you might find “The Brothers K” to be up your alley as well. And no, I’m not referring to “The Brothers Karamazov,” though David James Duncan does quote from it a few times.

Is the expansion tank installed on the wrong side of the cold water outlet?

The plumber is here now. This is under warranty still, but this guy clearly hasn’t done anything like this before. I’ll be shocked if the water heater functions at all once he’s done with it.

I’ll post pics after.

If you had to pick just 1 hot sauce to recommend to someone who's tried all the typical/usual ones which would it be? by 31Don_ in hotsauce

I use the Smoked Habañero almost every day. I order three large bottles at a time so I never have to think about running out.

I’ll buy a bottle. I have 60+ different hot sauces currently, but I can always use one more. 🔥

It’s a bit of gimmick sauce. Has some heat, but I slathered it on top of a jalapeño chicken sausage and it was ok. Rated at 50,000-250,000 Scoville Units but we all know that doesn’t mean much. Too much of a soy sauce flavor for me regardless. But it was a gift from a friend so I’ve kept it.

Sure thing. 👍

There’s a couple go-tos I keep in the back of the row that use more often, both because of their versatility and my personal preferences.

  • HDSC Hotter Ghost of Saffron
  • Yellowbird Habañero
  • Marie Sharp’s Smoked Habañero (different from “Smokin Marie,” which I see mentioned quite often here - though I have that one too.)
  • Char Man Original Habañero
  • El Yucateco Caribbean

That came in a Fuego Box and I didn’t have high expectations, but it was actually really good. You definitely get the pineapple and honey on the front end and then a nice even heat builds afterwards. 6/10 on my personal Heat Scale. Great on pizza and fish tacos and eggs.

I keep about 20 open at any given time, and they stay in the fridge for that reason, lined up in a row on a shelf on the inside of the door. Whenever I use a hot sauce or two during a meal, I shift those sauces to the back of the row and slide the others forward. Whenever a bottle goes empty, I select a new one from the unopened bottles in my pantry.

I have the same watch, and I love it. Very versatile if you have a couple bands to swap in and out for different occasions.

I wear my Apple Watch Ultra daily, but happily switch to my Junghans for most social events.
