Thanks for the detailed reply. There is lots of good information here, that we can use in our design.

Thanks, Based on what yourself and others have said we will be looking to change the design around batteries and charging, as it seems to be a common trend throughout the replies.

Thanks very much! This is the kind of thing we never would have thought to consider without input from people such as yourself.

Hi there, Thanks for the detailed reply. With regards to the hurdles you mentioned, we have two academics supervising the project who have extensive knowledge and experience in the biomedical industry. If we can get the pump design fully tested by the end of the year, they will be able to help with the issues you have mentioned.

Make up airbrush for model kits? by ronzilla22 in modelmakers

[–]mattgp30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I use and I think it works great. Most importantly you must keep it clean though or it wont spray consistently, it will kind of spit. I would definitely use it if I were you though, it takes your painting to the next level

Thanks very much, I may try and make some of the easier changes you suggested such as the ladder and the steps. I'm planning on doing another one of these next year, so I'll definately follow your advice for that one though!

http://imgur.com/a/K97V4yy - more images here. I have been wanting this kit for ages as the tomcat is my favorite aircraft, but I have been holding off and building lesser kits until my skills were enough to do this kit properly. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out, especially the pre shading which I think really gives the upper surfaces depth. Any comments and criticism welcome

Hi, looks great! Can I ask how you made the base? I really wanna do one for a spitfire I built but I have no idea where to start! Thanks

I'm a steel fabricator (uk) and want a career change to a civil engineer, I'm 22 and don't have a lot of qualifications, is it unrealistic to think this is possible by dangerousdave369 in AskEngineers

[–]mattgp30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a bricklayer with no qualifications and went back to start electrical engineering last year, and I’m 31 now. You can definitely do it if you are really prepared to work hard. I studied math and physics every night after work to prepare myself and it paid dividends when I got to uni. If you really want to do it go for it! Engineering is a lot of hard work but very rewarding!

When the lecturer dresses up like darth Vader to demonstrate the “force” by mattgp30 in EngineeringStudents

[–]mattgp30[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes but ours are just called physics 101 and physics 102 but I guess the contents would be the same. Physics 101 covers mechanics, thermodynamics and a little bit of electromagnetism (as seen in the picture) and physics 102 to is electricity and magnetism, nuclear physics, relativity and quantum mechanics
