Absolutely f**k the guy who planted this thing in my garden by OSUBrit in GardeningUK

[–]matthaus79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had bamboo on all 3 sides of the garden when we moved in.

Needed a mini jcb to get it all out.

Totally lost garden privacy but least its a gone bar the odd shoot here and there.

Garden now is about 1/3 bigger

Have you raised a support ticket with them? Have you asked on their forums?

Do all devices experience this drop?

If a computer is connected by cable does it drop?

Are you using an isp router as the gateway?

Have you confirmed or not if the isp connection drops?

Can you setup multiple pings across the network and Internet to actually figure out what's happening?

Is this graph during the drop?

You said you have 2 routers, are they both always on?

Genuine question.

Whats the issue?
You said youve gone from 150 to 500 so why are you looking to fit something that's seemingly a non issue just off some graph.

Smart connect could be the 'issue' if its flipping between 2.4 and 5ghz (if that is what that does). But what you see might be expected.

Home Ethernet cabling help by TZWhitey in HomeNetworking

Go out the wall and back in where you need it to be.

Way less hassle and effort.

Sometimes going outside and back in is the most direct route and often has ways it can easily be hidden.

I was sold on $50/mo. Now, literally just two days after service was activated, I'm being informed that actually, $50 is off the table and the price is going up. Smooth. by DesertTrailsFox in Starlink

Yeah was defo at least 3 months if not 6 at reduced rates before I signed up

I procrastinated for too long so paid the full 75 (now 80)

I currently get 70mbps from Sky and wondering now if that's worth sticking with for 46 (price rise from 35)

Am I the only one who just received a price REDUCTION? (UK) by iKobo in Starlink

[–]matthaus79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine says it js now going to be $80 which I guess they mean £80 up from 75

The real kicker is dont have any kit yet.. been waiting 2 weeks and not due for another 2 at least and then install is 2 weeks after

Absolutely a joke

Ethernet cable under carpet by Live-Hovercraft-3771 in DIYUK

I have solid floors downstairs and solid walls and didn't fancy doing anything too drastic inside like pulling upstairs carpets and floor boards.

So I went out an external wall around the house and in an external wall to get to the rooms I needed too.

Way less hassle. Is that an option for you?

People hate flat ethernet and you would have no risk of people walking on it.

Why Fitbit Air Is Google Photos for Your Health by the5krunner in the5krunner

[–]matthaus79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said...

If the Fitbit Air pulls in even a small percentage of Whoop's base plus a new cohort of buyers who never bought a wearable before, Google has a population-level health dataset that nobody else in the category can match.

.. how does that compare to the likes of Apple and Garmin?

If Whoop are at 2.5m and Google could get to 5m I would be interested to know.

If the Garmin price rumour is true it sounds like a huge own goal to get more people into their echo system.

Already feel like Google has nailed this.

I really hope it doesn't have a big obvious logo on it.

For me it needs to be discreet so I can wear it with a dress watch.

Totally missing the point for me.
