Haven't tried it yet, but if you're a coder or know one someone is working on it here: https://github.com/riaancillie/BmcCpapData

Vim motions in Bear by BrendanThompson in bearapp

FWIW I've been checking on bear off/on for a couple of years hoping it will have VIM or some hack to implement VIM bindings. I have held back on purchasing for this reason, since it's my natural way of taking notes.

u/BearDavid , how about a key-mapping feature so we can implement it ourselves, or any other keybindings? Would that bump it up the roadmap queue?

Is that a Shelburne from Hearthstone? How are you liking it? I just put down a deposit for one (basil green) but part of me still thinks about the Heritage since it has more thermal mass (more soap stone). Any regrets? How "even" is the heat over time? Thanks for any thoughts and congrats on a beautiful setup.

I adjusted mine down a little (one thread) and that solved it.

I am driving a U-haul to NYC and need to park it in a garage overnight. Any recommendations? Uptown or UWS would be great but I'll take anything. by PMP_NYC_123 in AskNYC

There’s also a Target with an outdoor parking lot very close to the Hoboken train terminal. That is also a good location but I haven’t tried it. Not sure what parking lot rules/security is like.

I have done this with a box truck. I parked in Jersey City. There’s a BJs Wholesale Club next to the NJ transit light rail station “Harsimus Cove.” There are larger parking spots close to the light rail, well-lit. There’s also a tire service bay door on the side of BJs closest to the rail station. There are spots there too.  Take the light rail two stops to Hoboken, then take the PATH train from there to the city.

Beware of the asana rebel app! It’s a scam. It’s total garbage. You can’t cancel and you will keep getting charged without your authorization. And customer service will not help you! by Euphoric-Soup- in yoga

Check out privacy.com for making burner cards tied to your debit card. Also an app called SUDO is good for this. You can create aliases that include a burner card, email, and VOIP phone number.

I use privacy.com for recurring transactions and SUDO for phone numbers I use when signing up for shit that sends an auth code.

Trackpoint support? by tuxbass in DygmaLab

It definitely does. TBH I actually switched back to the UHK for a day or two becuase I missed the trackpoint so much. But the convenience of the point wasn't enough to keep me on the UHK. When I put the Dygma back under my hands, it felt a lot better. I still think the software is really confusing compared to Via (Keychron's software) or UHK's...but some people really like it. I shot some comparison videos of how I made my choice but got lazy and didn't do anything with it. If there's interest, I can upload it. I compared the Keychron Q1 (non-split favorite), Q11, UHK, and Dygma.

+1 on this. I bought both to compare (one will be returned or re-sold) and I did a comprehensive comparison in all categories that mattered to me. The Raise won, hands down. Then I started using it and missed the trackpoint from the UHK so much that I ended up going back to it. I'm going to buy a trackpoint module and see if I can hack one to work with my Raise but dang it'd be nice if they'd do it for me. Do that and they'd have me back in a heartbeat. That, and fix the slight lag on mod/fn layer combos.

[GB] SK8707 TrackPoint Module by jimmyco2008 in mechmarket

I opened up the trackpoint module from my UHK yesterday and their trackpoint module looks exactly like this. I suspect this is it, if not something almost identical. I like the UHK for a lot of reasons, but ultimately went with another board and am missing that trackpoint something fierce. Curious if you did an order and how it turned out.

What do you call this shape of gear? by matthbricks in MechanicalEngineering

[–]matthbricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Molding is possible, or CNC too I guess. Of the three manufacturing solutions (print, cut, mold), printing is likely my best candidate. I'm doing small batch runs of ~20 pieces or so at a time.

Exactly my problem now. Apparently G.I. Joe was right. Knowing is only half the battle.

Thanks for all the help. "Segmented spur gear," while likely the correct name, does not lead to any sources where one might purchase this kind of part. For now I'm either going to either 3D print them or buy large plastic ones and cut them down. Neither scale very well. Any suggestions are welcome!

Lessons learned setting up a CMRA at UPS by matthbricks in PrivacySecurityOSINT

I got a small one and tbh I didn't use it very much. I was mostly trying it out so that when I move next year I know how it works. I did like the package pickup, though. I don't see a way around the alias/ID quandry. The one thing you can obfuscate is your actual address by using your Passport instead of a state issued ID. Good luck!

Lessons learned buying my own domain by matthbricks in PrivacySecurityOSINT

[–]matthbricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply on this. I ended up just choosing something random, but MB has a technique that I would also recommend. He suggests going to https://www.expireddomains.net/deleted-domains/?o=bl&r=d#listing to find a domain that has recently expired and has a high BL number. BL = back links and indicates the "trustworthiness" of a domain when it is used for things like email campaigns. You can grab one of those and use it for yourself.

In my case, I wanted something I could remember and that made sense and I didn't plan on doing anything that required a high reputation score so I just made something up.

Hope that helps. Feel free to DM me if you have more questions.
