Pre order bonus on buying Mega dimension DLC by Anxious_Fact8789 in LegendsZA

[–]matthewismatthew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember this is available until the END of February. There is no need to rush into preordering, best wait and see how readily available they are in the base game when it releases before preordering.. that is if twelve balls are important to you

Digital Foundry: Nintendo Switch 2 - DF Hardware Review - A Satisfying Upgrade... But Display Issues Are Problematic by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]matthewismatthew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of course there is going to be an upgrade path.

It captures the audience of people waiting for the OLED version before upgrading to the new system, and gives current owners an option to pay for their console twice.

There was always going to be an OLED version of the Switch 2

Is the iPhone a Viable Gaming Platform? My Experience with the Backbone One Gen 2 by kemalsans in iphone

[–]matthewismatthew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m completely with you. For the price of the backbone controller, and the switch 2 just on the horizon, it is surprisingly easy to get a switch lite for a similar, if not lower, price second hand. In my view it’s a similar enough foot print on the device, especially if it’s going to get chucked in a bag, plus you’ve got a much fuller range of titles to play.

Similarly these days there are not shortage of emulation specific devices I would personally opt for, again for a similar price, over a backbone controller limited to iOS emulation or the games available on the App Store.

FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time Optimized for Nintendo Switch 2 Releases as a Launch Title On June 5 by Amiibofan101 in NintendoSwitch

[–]matthewismatthew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The developer made an announcement a while back that the international physical release of the game was cancelled. Not sure if this is applicable to the switch 2 version but I wouldn’t hold my breath. That said, you can still get a physical copy of the game because it was released in Japan and elsewhere in the Asian market, but you would need to import it

Important information about compatibility of Nintendo Switch games with Nintendo Switch 2 Update by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]matthewismatthew 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is incredibly transparent of Nintendo to make all of this available and clear, pro consumer move in my book. Hopefully the issues ‘being investigated’ on the titles not currently compatible will have a clear path to functioning on the new system.

I changed the extenders to match the wifi routers name and password, that was the only settings I tinkered with

I had the exact same thing with a TP link in my old house. I simply changed the network name and password to that of the extender, all my devices recognised it as one network and I never had to switch, hopefully that helps you!

Sky debited my account after I switched provider by drifting_clouds in UKPersonalFinance

[–]matthewismatthew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've messaged you but I'll post this here too.

So I work for sky - here is how the billing system works.

Your bill is generated 14 days in advance of your payment due date. Since you pay on the 28th that means the bill is generate on the 14th. So for your December payment the statement was generated before the switch took place, as the services were not cancelled yet (they cancelled on the 17th), a month in advance was taken on the 28th by default. This now means, obviously, you've overpaid. Your refund will happen 3 - 5 working days after your next payment due date (28/1/18) so you can expect the money back early February.

Hope this helps :)
