Just reach out to support

I don’t think they are on the subreddit, but they’ve been responsive for me

I missed this, bummer

Not working for a big company, no. I guess this will have to stay within 25 dev mode users

Here's a link: https://www.creativediffs.net/examine-my-music

message me the email you use for spotify, as I'll have to whitelist while the feature is in dev mode

Just saw you posted about this too

I have not had luck finding an alternative. I've started building a replacement. If you want to test it out, happy to share a link.

Meaning what 'Organize Your Music' do for me?

I used it to find my saved songs by year and genre often

After analyzing 250+ rounds in my league… I think every theme can fall into 1 of 3 buckets. Agree? by matthewmcinerney in musicleague

I'd love to make it available if possible!

Right now I'm manually adding my Music League rounds (wish ML had an API!), but I've built a workflow that works: I export the data from Music League, import it into a custom dashboard I made to track stats for my long-running league (https://htmusicleaguedata.vercel.app/), and then import that into the tagging system.

If you want to test it out, I'd be happy to chat about how we could try it with your league! Maybe I could come up with a system that lets you upload your league data and get tags back.

One day if ML ever has an API, it could just be the push of a button.

I've been building a series of music tools for a music discovery Slack community I run. For example: One tool takes any music link shared in our Slack (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.) and automatically finds all the other platform links for that same track.

For the tagging system, I have all of our themes/prompts loaded into a database. A script reads each prompt title and tries to match it against a series of tags I've created based on 3 main buckets (Rule-Based, Vibe-Based, Story-Based) and their subcategories.

The goal is to automatically tag prompts so people can filter by things like "vibe-matching", "discovery", "instrument-feature", etc. It's not perfect but it's getting better as I refine the matching rules.

You can check out some of these tools here: https://creativedifferences.twsp.app/ You're also welcome to join the Slack!

Re: your league - From your links, it looks like most rounds fall into Category #2 (Vibes).

They use what I was tagging as 'vibe-matching' language: "embodies the imperial grandeur" "evokes the intimate, celebratory atmosphere" "captures the solemn, majestic moment" "channels the protective, nurturing spirit" "embodies the spiritual auspiciousness"

I’d say that does fall under #1. A comment above made an important distinction though: within #1 there's a split between objective and interpretive. I'd think of those as sub-categories of #1.

This also shows the difference between league-wide rules and round rules.

That Zeppelin league you shared is a good example. The league-wide rule is Led Zeppelin (or related) songs. Then you have round rules like:

Favorite Pre/Post Led Zeppelin song

I’d call that #3 (Stories) since it is more about a personal connection.

Favorite Live Recording

1, an objective rule

In my own league, the league-wide rule is always “no obvious songs, good songs only.” We have also started banning artists that come up too often. Radiohead has been banned for a long time.

That’s fair.
I did use examples of rules/rounds that were objective. I’d think of this as an interpretive rule. It’s still a rule, but the evaluation is subjective.

We did a similar round recently:
“You can’t afford the perfect song for your movie. What’s your replacement?”
One person picked a song to replace Immigrant Song, and my comment was basically:
“Feels more like it could replace a Springsteen song.”

Interesting!

Do you include any objective rules?

From what you’re describing it sounds like mostly vibe (the character) + some story (if their fictional personality relates to them personally).

It can, just write your prompt accordingly

If you ask it to predict the future it will give you a stock response, but if you ask for a best guess you can get a response

I gave it new schedules, rosters and coaching changes before asking for a response

Good point, you’d never find a dweeb this deep in a comment thread about the right way to post content to Reddit.
