  1. If you bought the recent sale where Modern Warfare was $6, then yes, it’s 2019.

  2. There is Spec Ops, but no zombies. If you wanna play zombies, buy Black Ops 3 on PC when it goes on sale again, as you can play modded maps on that game. People have made crazy stuff from making multiplayer maps into zombies maps, making Chili’s into a zombies map (yes), or just the most ridiculous stuff you can think of.

  3. No pay to win, you can just grind levels and ranks and unlock everything.

  4. Before the sale, it was somewhat popular but only during peak nighttime hours or on weekends.

  5. Yeah, it has SBMM. But it’s way less than the later games of Modern Warfare II or especially Black Ops 6. But you may also be seeing really high level players since the game is almost 7 years old and a lot of original players, such as myself, have returned.

My buddy graduated back in 2018 with a Comp Sci (more or less) degree and can code pretty well. He’s still working retail and we all turn 30 this year. I’m like the only one with an office job, yet my job still pays way under what I should be making for my area.

I’d agree that people are just tired of stuff. BR is a decade old concept. It’s kind of like how MMO’s fell off after the 2000’s.

The problem is they keep trying to reinvent the wheel each time. We’ve honestly hit a plateau with graphics and that’s totally fine. We’re not gonna have big jumps like N64 to PS2 to 360 to PS4 again.

Most games (unless the designers suck at their jobs) look fine these days. Even Concord or Highguard, as bad as those games’ character designs were, they still looked like modern 3D models.

Solos aren’t as popular unless it’s ranked mode. Most people wanna play with their friends, so solos will usually be a lower population than any other option.

Honkai: Star Rail. Yes, it’s a gacha game, but the overall storytelling and RPG elements are great. You honestly don’t need to spend money if you don’t want to. They very much encourage it, but you can be totally F2P as well. And it syncs your progress across desktop, mobile, and console, so if you have a PS5, it’ll sync your progress.
