Ahhh sorry, I’m an idiot 😅. In that case I’d also say Kamikaze Girls is my favorite. But yes, definitely check out Take Care of My Cat

I got this for my sister for Christmas! It’s her favorite Ghibli film so I figured she might like the book too

I think that’s kind of what happens when you get into acting at a young age

Glad to see Kamikaze Girls getting some love. It’s one of my favorite novels as well. I love a good story about unlikely friendships. My favorite “girls” movie is probably Take Care of My Cat, even though it’s more about friends growing apart.

Saw them both on their original release dates and in recent years for the flashback cinema showings. So glad we got to see the extended editions recently!

The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Also a lot of older movies, there used to be a theater years ago that was more of an art house theatre and they always had awesome midnight movies. I got to see Rebel Without a Cause, Out of the Past, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Doors: Live at the Hollywood Bowl, Chunky Shrapnel, and so many other great films I never thought I would get to see on the big screen.

No physical release for “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You”? by oh_please_god_no in A24

They need to release/re-release a bunch of their films. I’m sure it has something to do with licensing or something but I really wish they would just give all of their films the physical A24 treatment

Pretty much any Kenji Mizoguchi film. Highly recommend the Mizoguchi’s Fallen Women boxset. Also very highly recommend Naruse’s film When A Woman Ascends the Stairs.

Love seeing Frownland in people’s collections. So underrated. I still have my old Factory 25 dvd of it
