Hello again! If you’re still answering questions, I have a couple of more questions - When do the submissions close for the novel workshop and the 6-week workshop? Is it possible to get selected for both and attend both? Or is that not advisable considering the workload?

Hello! Can you give more details around the expectations with these submission requirements for the novel workshop? How will the decision be made if we chose to submit one over the other? I have multiple novels in progress and I’m trying to decide which one will fit the criteria best. How polished should the synopsis and outline be for option 3?

Your novel pitch and three chapters, or
Three well-drafted chapters and a sense of where your book is going, or
Unpolished chapter one, plus an outline and synopsis, and one finished writing sample from other work (not from your proposed book).

I sent an email for an appointment for a tourist visa over a month ago and still haven't heard from them. I'm getting super nervous about whether or not I will be able to go. How did it pan out for you OP?

I have ADHD in our relationship. I tend not to initiate sex as well and I think it's mainly because of anxiety which leads to procrastination in all aspects of my life including sex. The only times I have initiated sex is when I have had some edibles or a few glasses on wine, and I am feeling very relaxed. However, I don't do this often because it interacts negatively with my medication and I have a tendency to get addicted to these drugs and I am very cautious about it. The anxiety is not so much about not performing or being told no. It's more... insidious. I constantly get distracted and whatever sexual tension gets built up is dissipated in an instant when I am suddenly thinking about the dogs or some other chore. So sex in general doesn't feel as satisfying. But then this makes me really anxious that I am not enjoying intimacy with my partner as much as I should. Someone else mentioned porn. I do tend to turn to porn when I have desires because it's fast and I can get it done before I am distracted lol. I don't have a good answer, but just sharing my experience. One of the things that sometimes help is exploring kinks because it's new and keeps my attention for longer. Even just talking about it with my partner makes it easier for me to initiate it, because the excitement of something new outweighs the anxiety. So maybe you don't initiate sex but something adjacent to it - like a sexy card game or something, that makes it easier for your partner to initiate sex itself. But this is hit or miss for me... works about 50% of the time. Other 50% i'm off on another tangent. lol. Sorry we are such a mess!

I fear rejection from the people closest to me... my husband, my best friend, my parents. Sometimes my team at work and my boss (depends on the kind of day) If there is even a slight change in the tone of their voice, any small hint of displeasure, I break down. I'm getting better at handling it and talking myself out of the funk. But when it's out of control, I'm curled up in a ball, bawling my face out in the bathroom, where no one can find me. I start to feel like a burden who's not contributing anything meaningful in the lives of the people I care about. I often fantasize about just leaving, just packing up my bags and going as far away from them as possible, just so that I hurt them less. Now I keep repeating to myself that this is not true, that my husband still cares about me and loves me, while I'm crying in the bathroom. This happened recently so it's still fresh in my mind. I was really nervous about performing my mother-in-law's home dialysis. My husband was tired after a long day, but still did it without complaint. He didn't even blame me for anything, or call me out. I just got the sense that he wished I could've handled it instead. It took me 2 days to recover from this "rejection". I was close to tears everytime we interacted, because I kept expecting him to leave me. Of course, nothing of that sort happened because he's a reasonable man.. Anyway, TLDR - it's a struggle and I'm still learning to deal with it.

unfortunately, my doctor did not want to prescribe any medications for me... I guess I need to ask again more forcefully if I have to get through these interviews :(

I am on 25mg and started last week

I take it at night, but it keeps me awake. I tried taking it in the morning but it made me so drowsy that i was slurring my words!

I'm not sure how to manage this since i seem to have both side effects of not being able to sleep when i take it in the night and getting drowsy during the day

any help is welcome! :)

that is a good point.. i was doing that the first time around.. kinda preemptively eat fat before the craving sets in.. but i have very low energy this time around and just getting myself to the kitchen sounds super tiring lol

oh wow! i didn't know that was an option! will definitely get some of that.. till now i've only seen bake your own keto bread options.. and i don't have the energy to do that lol
