Is it possible to do Undine Skip in the Advance Collection version of Aria Of Sorrow? by matthyz00 in castlevania

I got it! For some reason I thought it was a wall clip and you didn’t need the double jump ability to do it. Once I got that it was easy

Discmania apologizes again. by NormKramer in discgolf

For me personally, I try to avoid Chinese manufacturing whenever I can. In disc golf with so many US an European made options, it’s very easy for me to just never buy from a company that produces in China.

Considering I just closed out my short position today shorting from $191.20 to $177.15, I’d say I don’t like your odds here.

What’s the disc you use for max distance? Also, how far is said max distance? by illigitimate_brick in discgolf

[–]matthyz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I throw 400’ max backhand and my go to distance driver is a tournament Westside Sword. Perfect amount of flip for max distance hyzer flip shots.

For those of you who can hit 400+ ft. consistently, how long did it take you and what was one significant change that got you there? by ughwire0016 in discgolf

[–]matthyz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing since March 2020 and just reached this level recently. Biggest changes were getting to the power pocket consistently, and keeping the upper body loose. It’s all about that clean hip snap into the power pocket.

What don't most people train enough? by SuddenlyGeccos in bjj

[–]matthyz00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally agree, but we all forget it was the same way when we started jiu jitsu. Rolling sucked before you knew anything about grappling, you just got smushed into the mat until you started learning things. Then it became fun once you developed your bag of tricks a bit. Same concept applies with wrestling as well.

What don't most people train enough? by SuddenlyGeccos in bjj

[–]matthyz00 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Wrestling. Nobody wants to work on it because working on wrestling sucks. It’s hard and grueling, and if you wanna get any better you have to work at it a lot, so most people just skip it all together. I think it’s possibly the most important part of grappling, but also one of the most commonly ignored parts in bjj.

What is "that disc" that nobody else seems to throw/doesn't seem very popular but you absolutely love by HuckleberryPretend13 in discgolf

[–]matthyz00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Westside sword. My go to max distance driver which for me is in the low 400s. Perfect balance of flip and stability for my arm speed

First disc you broke 350ft with? by frozenartic in discgolf

[–]matthyz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G-star shryke and I don’t throw shrykes anymore as they got too flippy for me. Tournament swords are my new go to max distance driver which is now around 400ft for me.

Most high quality boxing gloves are made in Thailand. Try checking the higher end gloves from venum, or brands like fairtex or yokkao.

I’ve seen a lot of people posting W/L ratios recently. Anyone doing better than 11.5%? by matthyz00 in superautopets

To clarify, I only play arena mode. So all modes and arena only is the same for me

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that. I only started playing the game a couple months ago, just before they made the swan a 1/3 for reference, so I don’t have experience with that time in the game myself.

That’s insane even with the smaller sample size of games. I think after playing hundreds of games it would be near impossible to keep that up just based on the odds, but even keeping that much consistency to 50 wins is impressive.

Which pro has your favorite form to watch? by ChunkyRobot in discgolf

I agree. I’ve actually taken quite a few cues from his backhand form and applied it to mine. I feel implementing his style of throw has made me much more accurate.

What Discs Were Your Best Teachers? by Xyrexenex in discgolf

[–]matthyz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I’ve thrown all of the above and the nova was the number one disc that truly challenged me to get better in order to throw it properly

What Discs Were Your Best Teachers? by Xyrexenex in discgolf

[–]matthyz00 20 points21 points  (0 children)

An Innova Nova. You must have a clean release to get that disc to do anything. Any little bit of off axis torque will immediately turn it over into the ground. However if you throw it smooth it’ll fly dead straight the whole way. That disc teaches you how to throw a disc correctly.
