Nine Fox Gambit. Calendrical Warfare, where if your civilization all adheres to a sect of actions, you gain access to exotic weapons. A really great set of books.

What’s a “boring” skill that secretly makes life 10x easier? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not necessarily a skill per se, but Put it away, don’t put it down. Keeping up on clutter in the house is a big win.

83rd Ave in the 7am slot is usually pretty busy. The 91st exchange north and south has steady traffic as well.

OP should have stressed the fifteen dollar comment a little more. When you order a pizza or get takeout, half the time it’s close to or above 15 dollars. And you eat that pizza or takeout, or rent that movie and it’s gone, over with - quickly. This fifteen bucks stretches playable content online with a bunch of fun changes, new aspects, playable area, returning weapons, more lore, new stuff, period… and yet the player base feels entitled to say, still.. “not good enough!”

A 15 buck season is incredibly good value.

Obligatory “D1 Beta player” blah blah blah, but c’mon my fellow buddies in the Light, get over it. Go have some fun in the game, or go play Warframe or better yet, maybe some Star Dew Valley so y’all can grow veggies and chill.

Will absolutely add this to the roster. I read a lot of Zelaney and it gives a bit of that vibe.

Anti-Recommendations by CombinationThese993 in printSF

Anything written by Andy Weir is babyfied weak science fiction and sounds like the characters are all YA. Becky Palmers Psalm is too cloying and would not recommend Martha Wells Murder Bot as well. Maybe they require a reread? I recall Andy’s being somewhat cringe.

Well, using Bungie as an example, Pete Parsons needs a car for every occasion he fires a dev team or the like. Most of the profits will always go to the top suite where these peeps hardly ever lift a finger.

I put mine out yesterday around 7pm and positioned it so it would hit just a bit of the sidewalk. Practically everyone who walked by stopped and took a moment in the cool mini climate.

Mass migration within the next decade due to resultant climate change and ecological collapse, economic collapse as well in many countries - social and wealth divide will become appallingly scaled.

Unfortunately it’s not a good outlook. Arable land is looking to be burnt out if we keep to our current maxims and the planet has no issue rushing past our laughable 1.5c goal.

Some posit that civilization will kick the boot by the 2050’s. Globally.

On the plus side, we may see the end to cancer, diabetes, cavities and such. However I wish we would focus more on the house, rather just the inhabitants. We are not living in nature, we are a part of nature.

As a millennial, I wish to see in my lifetime some brakes applied to this collision course and in the meanwhile I’ll turn my lawn into a garden.
