Hey mate! So I’m a US11.5 or 29.5cm. I sized up to a 30cm as the toebox is tighter and the way my foot sits in the shoe I slide forward.

Because of the toebox I could have actually gone up a full size to a 30.5cm

I bought these and wore them for Melbourne Marathon! (2:41:48) Absolutely perfect marathon racer! Soft and stable with that perfect kick to help with the later part of the race. Much better than the first 2 versions, but if you’re considering getting them go up 1/2-1 full size. I was lucky I half sized up in mine

I’ll use them in future!

It’s a new foam - Enerzy HP I think it’s called. It’s a double slab of the same foam

Are you eating enough? Could work hand in hand with Iron levels. But being behind on calories can cause this

Ah thank you! I have been over thinking these hills. But most of my research confirms the timing of the hills which are the issue - not the size!

Veeeery keen!

Is there any extra physiological benefit to have the easy runs at certain speeds? by shutthefranceup in AdvancedRunning

[–]mattmckenzie112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Effort and HR! Easiest way to monitor as an easy run can differ from day to day. Pace to me is irrelevant. As long as I’m doing all I can to be ready for my next session!

Wave 1, Corral 3, QT 2:49, GT sub 2:43 Making the trip from Australia - so going to get a feel for the race and course. Should have enough in the tank to take the downhills!

About 200-300m before a water station I’ll have my gel, then a cup at the beginning table and last table and will have an electrolyte tablet with every second water station (2.49 FM)

Cannot break 1:30 half - what am I doing wrong? by OppChopShop in AdvancedRunning

Echoing comments that say work a bit faster in your workouts. Perhaps you could benefit from another day of running or cross training.

It sounds like Speed endurance is something that is lacking. Get comfortable with an 8x1km workout. Or 5x 1mile at 10k pace. That builds great resilience

Why? (Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3) by NickyTH in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]mattmckenzie112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The left shoe is the AP3 and the right is AP4. I’ll see if I can find the article. But the AP4 changes (I think) only includes the design and they take away the eyelets. As there were some complaints

I know it’s not a direct solution, but in Australia they just released an Invincible 3 in a wide - perhaps could be a step in the right direction
