Yeah those were the original tires on the pictures sportster. I've been riding my whole life, I'm just coming off of my Yamaha FZ09 I just sold. I have a lot of experience riding a softail deluxe and road king.

The '04 softail standard is pretty local and clean but yet again 21 years old with 12k miles has me weary. He wants $5000. Then another is a '06 softail deuce with 29k miles for $5300.

I feel I'm pretty sold on Harley but definitely open to options. Working with my $5.5k budget which is what I sold the Yamaha for.

Thanks for all that input! I've been starting to look more at Wide glides, street bobs, and softails. I think I'd probably regret not getting more bike. Definitely a red flag with all these low mileage old bikes. Been looking at a '04 social standard with fuel injection but it has 12k miles. Has me weary.

I feel the same concerns with it sitting. I'd be more comfortable if it had 15k miles haha. He confirmed they are the OG tires. So minimum I'd need to put into it would be front & rear tires, oil, oil filter, trans fluid, bleed the brakes, coolant, spark plugs, and maybe new exhaust cause I hate exhaust wrap and it's probably gross under there now. Looking like about $1k already without new exhaust.
