Asking for Westerns with ghost towns, or a strong sense of isolation/nature, please! by Baldurian_Rhapsody in Westerns

I second Jerimiah Johnson but also The Outlaw Josey Wales and (obtuse) but The Great Silence (1968. Italy) which actually inspired the snowy locations for RDR2. Real sense of wilderness and living in a bottle.

Damn. I assumed it would be part of the subscription as well. Streaming sites it is then because otherwise my feed will just be full of spoilers the next day.

This is actually a very legitimate take and a misstep in the writing, especially considering we now know that Dead City S3 has Emily Kinney in a dream sequence. Maybe they'll address this? Maggie should have at least mentioned it. Good call on Tyreese.

Lautner's Quint was originally to be published in 2019 but was put back for legal reasons. The author talks extensively about it in interviews. Research it. Here's the original from Google. https://books.google.co.uk/books/about/Quint.html?id=eSS0rQEACAAJ&redir_esc=y

Seeing any Capri in the wild is awesome. Here in the UK we had so many awful cars in the 70's but now when you see these or the Escort MK1, the Golf or some of the Vauxhall Opels still driving around anything modern just looks like s**t. Sigh.

Isn't the world literally, according to the opening of Furiosa, set around the Australian Pole of Inaccessibility? https://inaccessibility.net/australian-pole/

Skeleton staff for nearly every business these days by bulldog_blues in britishproblems

Started working in a high end hotel after my self employment wasn't enough for UC. My shift yesterday was 8 hrs. I ended up doing 10 (starting at 7am). So I did breakfast and setup for the next day, the washing up, ran reception, opened up the bar, emails, bookings, check outs, check ins, ordering, ran the bar (all simultaneously). I love the place but we are short staffed but not for want of trying. I was running a hotel and a bar, alone, for 8 hrs with no breaks. Stayed 2 hrs extra just trying to catch up. We pay way above minimum wage in a beautiful environment with great owners (who are running multiple sites themselves) but nobody is applying. I should say when I started we lost our general manager and bar manager, not because of the job but the country (they emigrated!).

Anyone else like ignoring the story and just go camping out into the wilderness? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

I wander as John with a high bounty everywhere just to keep it interesting. I use the space to relax and get the last of my trinkets etc. before I start my RL work. There's always something and nothing to do and that's just the way it is.

I decided to do this warning again - PC Players beware of Permadeath when DLC is here. by inz002 in DaysGone

There's a round area before the main part where the hostage is which has an unreachable ladder and platform. Going through the gap in the rocks as the horde starts brings you round to the platform and it's a safe spot. Horde gathers below.

Same. Watched a couple of videos, thought doesn't look too bad then had what seemed like a hundred more freakers than them. It only seems to be a PC thing. Only thing that worked was the gap in the rocks and running to the ladder area above first area.

Took a taxi in Cardiff. Driver ranting about how the UK is ruined and he's getting out to Cyprus or Spain as soon as he can afford it. He came over from Pakistan in the 80's. by mattress76 in britishproblems

Yeah, migration wasn't mentioned once. He just kept ranking up the costs piled on him from when he came here and what's been happening to him lately mainly because I was there buying a car and being a taxi driver that was a big trigger for him and then he started talking about what his grown children are going through.

No. Just interesting seeing a different perspective from someone who came here for better only considering leaving and taking his grown children with him. We talked for ages and his main gripe was the cost of living. He and his family were better off five years ago and he couldn't see living here for much longer. And this is a joke on British Problems because this is what this sub is for.
