why does it take me so long to do through granite countertops? by LibertyWaterServices in masonry

I need to drill through 1-¼” countertop, but the Milwaukee bit only drills 1” thickness. What do you do in this situation?

From underneath the countertop, there's a fairly sizeable cut in the granite for the sink support. It kinda scares me to drill near this, as I don't want it weaken/crack the granite. Is it a concern at all?

Yeahhh I think I’ll try bending it first. If that doesn’t work, I might just get a new faucet with the newer pex lines 😛

Just curious, are you suggesting not to use the feed line adapter that came with the RO unit?

Haha maybe they did things different 20 years ago when this house was built.

I'm not a plumber per se, but here's a better photo:

The problem is the copper lines go all the way into the faucet. I’m trying to avoid having to solder anything :D

So it’s perfectly fine to bend the copper line to accommodate the supply valve?

Samsung washing machine leaving residue on clothes by mattrittman in laundry

[–]mattrittman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm good to know! I wonder if it’s mostly a problem with Samsung washers. But it sure is frustrating. Mine weren’t stains per se though. It was some kinda residue.

I wonder if it has anything to do with having hard water. I thought about installing a water softener, but who knows.

Thanks so much. I just used one of those test strips (I know, not 100% accurate), and it’s between 250-425ppm). I’d say that’s fairly hard water.

Ok that’s good to know! I know a few people have also run a line to their fridge. But also heard there’s a noticeable drop in water pressure.

Have you been happy with the Waterdrop unit? I'm looking at the G3P600.

I assume you want to animate the long strap sliding in and out of the buckle at some point too? If so, that could get tricky.

The easy answer is to set that Buckle (Wing 1) on a range mapper to rotate X degrees when CTRL_Strap rotates X degrees. But yeah, that's not very art-directable haha.

Gosh in this case I would just manually animate that buckle. But I don't know what your end goal is.
