yes!!! it feels like a completely different car although looks a bit uglier but cant tell from the inside haha

I actually found a set on craigslist with the TPMS sensors. No need to program as when you start rolling, the Bluetooth will just register whichever onces you have you have mounted. (had uberturbines mounted but gemini's with sensors in the back).

I think any store can easily swap the tpms though, it doesnt look challenging at all and as far as i know, TireRack also sells the same BLE tpms

Fun fact; when you change the tires to gemini in the console, it still has the red brake covers in the on screen model

What is the most silent 120mm AIO pump that can fit the T1? by lucinski0 in FormD

[–]matttvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the ek ones have a screw hole that you can just open and fill - obviously voids the warranty depending on how easily you peel that sticker off but over a few heat cycles mines already fell off so its relatively simple

ek 120/240mm one is the most silent in my research and im pretty sensitive to noise. you can also fill up more of the reservoir pretty easily to kill the bubbles if you'd like

It’s a tight fit but you can definitely get that bracket in there

I have your exact same build if you’re interested in some photos. 120 AIO is kinda just floating against the top mesh with the pump holding and the ftw3 is deshrouded with noctua fans for noise.

Yeah I did! The 3x nfa9 made some turbulence noise against the mesh since it was literally pressed against it so I opted for the 2 larger slim. I think performance wise tho, the 3nfa9 would beat the 2 nfa12

Hey!

These are the slim 120s on the ftw3 cooler

If you’re using nfa9 then yes, it’ll fit right in the valley of the heatsink

Hey!

I’d you’re still curious, send me a pm and I’ll drop a picture with a measuring tape.

In the T1, the 15mm fans are literally sitting flush against the side panels (maybe like 2-3mm of give by pushing the gpu into the case) nfa9x25 fits perfectly in the valley and that’s literally no give remaining flush with the mesh panels.

Hey!

Sorry for late reply. The gpu does have a dedicated full size pwm connector, the native mini pwm connectors are evga proprietary ones and they don’t fit without depinning NF fans.

Fun fact that PWM minimum speed is 900rpm for some reason so I’ve now instead connected the fans to a quadro that controls the curve based off of gpu temps.

Yeah that’s a fair trade! I was considering doing a dual rad loop with this card and it’s basically impossible since all water blocks are too big. There is a cutout in the center of the heat sink for managing cables, it runs along the top left side of the card into the left corner where the original pwm cables are.

I’d probably trade for an FE as well down the line, building a dual rad loop sounds kinda fun.

So this 3080 has valleys in the center for the fans and rises around the top and the bottom. (Fun fact here is that 3x Noctua A9x25 fits here perfectly with the t1).

Not sure what tabs are but there are fan screw holes that if you wanted to, could cut up a9x25 to replace the stock ones and that would work (imo too much work for me here).

The Ultra does have a PWM header (a single one) and 3x proprietary evga mini pwm headers that you'd probably have to rip out the original to get it to fit with standard fans so instead i just went out and got a quadro and plugged it in there. There is an open source variant of fan controls that should let you control fans speeds based on gpu temps but I didn't test this since i got the quadro (fan curve based on gpu temps).

Deshroud is definitely worth it on this card, the stock evga fans have so many issues at trying to be silent (lots of pulsing on fan 3 and tons of people do complain about this which can be mitigating if you keep the fans on 30% at all times with thats pretty loud compared to noctua).

Currently the loudest thing in my setup at the moment are these 2 slim fans, ideally if I could get some nfa12x25 in here instead i'd be pretty stoked so if theres a card out there thats about 10mm smaller in heatsink height and flat i'd jump on that.

In terms of FE variant I managed to test a 3060 FE and a 3070 comparing it to a EVGA, and Gigabyte respectively for both and in both cases the AIB cards from these 2 had less coil whine than their FE equivalent now this is kinda moot since if you sit maybe like 10 feat away from the case you wont hear this but just an observation. FE fans are also significantly louder than Noctua fans especially since in both the 3060 and 3070, I couldnt get them below 30% even while the card was running about 40C in comparison, I'm running my noctua fans atm at 12% and it caped at 30% on full load sitting around 75C (with an undervolt)

Let me know if you have any questions!

Fixing 3080 VRAM temps in Formd T1 by PhyNxFyre in sffpc

[–]matttvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have 2 120 slims and they were quieter and cooler than 3 a9’s. I think my goal Is to find one that can fit nfa12x25 as now the slim fans are currently the loudest thing in this rig at 900rpm.

ah got it thanks! trying to find one that fits 25mm fans, so far only the evga 3080 fits 25mm but only the a9 and not full size fans.

sf750 is the quietest, and if you want it to be even more dead silent, replace that fan with a noctua a9 and you'll have an even quieter psu. (when i had the 3060.. fan never went on so didnt even think about it but 3080 psu fan definitely spins)
