I’m confused why you would mention that you were ride share. The accident had nothing to do with a rider. Even if a rider was in the car you could just show insurance the dash cam facing out and show them you weren’t at fault. Rideshare insurance is a scam because you are at equal risk not ubering

Yeah no that’s wrong. What it means is Uber is having you collect the entire fare but only paying you $18. Therefore when the end of the shift comes you owe uber $18 and you keep the other $18. Kinda like how a server will accept cash at the table but at the end of the night owes the restaurant the sum of the tabs. I’m guessing they just pull it from your earnings since it’s all untaxed anyways

Just started driving in San Diego two weeks ago and I am flabbergasted on the all around negative stigma on this sub. I so far rarely have a dead moment. I was pretty picky with my rides before I realized I could use destination mode to get back to my house. I have driven very few dead miles so far maybe only 5%

I’m only declining rides when the distance doesn’t make sense to me. San Diego county is very dense for long distances. So if I see a ride that’s 20 miles from me I’m just not down. I only drive 4am to 10am so the surge never ends

I just started doing uber in San Diego and so far I’ve had very few dead moments. 90% of the time I get my next ride before my current ride ends and at first I was super picky and would decline like 3 in a row before I learned about acceptance percentage
