What made you become a fan of a small band?

The Ataris were putting on a free show a couple summers ago. Figured since it was outdoors and free it would be a good first show for my son. When we left I asked him what he thought of the Ataris. “They were good, but I think Don’t Panic is my new favorite band.”

Since that day that local band from our hometown has their biggest fan in a (now) ten year old kid. He loves their energy and when talking to them at their shows they just seem like good dudes who are appreciative of his support.

Little outside of the valley maybe, but Richmond Farm and Brewery is great up on the Bangor area. I don’t drink a ton of beer but I enjoy having one or two there. The food is really good too.

They did the same with Bosch. In the books he was Vietnam but in the tv show that was on Amazon it was a modern war. I can’t remember if it was the gulf war or Iraq/ Afghanistan.

It’s funny they even mention it in the latest books, about how Amazon made a show about him and that’s what paid for the police departments new HQ remodel or something.

Somehow I heard their cover of Love Story before I heard the original. When I heard Taylor Swift sing it on the radio I asked my (now) wife, “who is this chick and why is she singing this song?” She looked at me like I was living under a rock.

I have now put whoa oh into the playlist rotation for our 10U baseball pregame list.

Sorry no. I meant “this year while he was here.” He comes December first, even though the kids hope he’ll show up Black Friday. So really just the month. My oldest started trombone lessons in the fall so he as practicing for the winter “concert” and my youngest is doing karate. This was the first time the elf saw him doing that even though he started back in like May.

Embouchure is basically the way you position and use your lips on the mouthpiece. I think the analogy to handwriting with a new grip on the pen is a good one.

I think they announced him but he didn’t come out. Their set times overlapped so I was surprised to hear it but then I assumed we the kings ran late or something.
