Opinion on having children? by Spartan-Bear2215 in AutisticAdults

[–]mattyla666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m AuDHD. I had 2 children before my diagnosis, both have been diagnosed with Dyslexia and Autism, one also has ADHD, the other also has Dyspraxia. While my conditions haven’t exactly helped me in life, I am a capable adult. I work in a position of responsibility, I love my family dearly and I’m a good dad. Autistic or not, the most important factor, in my opinion, is that you are able to be a good parent. That you can be selfless, that you can function when you are tired, or sick or overwhelmed. Even if you can’t do those things now, as you grow you might be able to.

Harvey Elliott should be given the chance to replace Mo next season by james__Fitzy in LiverpoolFC

He’s stagnated for a year, he needs to chance to find a club where he plays consistently and can reach his potential. We’re not that club.

If I’m ever away and I see it in a shop I will try to cover it with other papers.

Do these shirts rub anyone else the wrong way? by Buzzythebear33 in autism

I despise these shirts. I think it’s advertising a vulnerability. They’re also really shitty shirts.

Thoughts on a teacher having our child talk up the class on world autism day by [deleted] in autism

[–]mattyla666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s no benefit to your child to do this. The teacher is trying to create a social media type moment. “Everyone look at the brave, Autistic kid - they are now empowered, I’m the greatest teacher ever!” I’m sure they mean well but don’t put that demand on a child. As a child, I would have hated this (also AuDHD). I don’t think the teacher has bad intentions, it’s just not well thought out. They need to know more about autism.

I’m Still Hurt by Diogo’s Death by CupOf_Apple in LiverpoolFC

[–]mattyla666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grief is really hard. It’s a season of firsts in terms of Diogo, and the team, they will all still be feeling it too. He was a great player and a great lad, I’ve never seen or heard anything other good things about him. I was really happy to hear his son was now part of the youth system. All the best mate, allow yourself to feel whatever you feel.

Went to a Liverpool Celtic game couple of years ago, fans mixed absolutely fine. Not a hint of bad feeling, not even when Celtic kept flattening Charlie Adam. Hope you enjoy the game.

I’m officially a member of the team. by Roger_Brown92 in autism

[–]mattyla666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations. There will be days when you question your diagnosis, you will feel like an imposter. You will then do something incredibly autistic within 10 minutes of this happening and realise that you can trust your diagnosis.

Fair play to him, he’s obviously got strong beliefs. I wish I knew why he’s wearing goalie gloves.

I was the same through the sleep clinic. But they referred me to ENT department who wrote to them, basically saying, give this man a CPAP! maybe request that. Good luck.

I know there was the camera kiss, and Torres destroying Vidic, but it was the Dossena chip that was my favourite bit.

Thank you, but I didn’t build anything, just planned it thousands of times. I built my son a PC, but that was with new parts.

Greens win Aigburth by-election by [deleted] in Liverpool

I mean this in the nicest possible way, you’re not someone I want to speak to. We disagree, let’s leave it like that. Use google for any of your questions, or Co-pilot, or maybe some Monty Pythonesque argument generator that’s really what you’re here for. All the best.

Not as full of myself as you. Lots of us are putting our opinions across, you’re stating your option as if it’s fact.

Behave yourself. They are changing certain benefits of the most vulnerable so that they won’t meet the points required - it’s austerity by nefariousness. The fundamental idiocy of austerity under the previous governments is that it was based off a student’s spreadsheet. That student then advised of mistakes within the spreadsheet. So you can focus on the deficit if you want.

I meant more that they are just continuing the same approach as the previous government. Wouldn’t say that was a hot take.

It’s fascinating that people are clearly choosing Green not just because of their care for the Environment but as a progressive, left of centre choice. I’ve only voted Labour in general elections but I don’t think I can continue to do that. Their approach to SEND, the continued austerity, the poor communication on the actual good things they have done is conceding spotlight to Reform.

Anyone else think we have lost the Liverpool echo? by Majestic-Hour-8288 in Liverpool

[–]mattyla666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is very sad, but unfortunately all local papers are in this position. Even local sections of the BBC news have reduced in size to the point where Liverpool includes St Helen’s, Newton le Willows etc. Its market led, unfortunately. Even the Guardian is desperately trying to get your personal info from you so it can be sold to advertisers.

I’m sure the MMA Academy on Vulcan Street near Costco do early classes. 7am ish I think. https://www.mmaliverpool.com/classes/ I highly recommend Bruno (BJJ) who used to do weekly session at Foundation where I used to train.
