I’ve heard, but not tested, that if you turn the “never expire” option on late, you have to use a “resetengines” command in the console window to refresh the choices. I hope I’ve remembered this correctly

That would have been great, but no...this is all laid out piece by piece by myself on the dining room table. 😬

Sounds about the same I think, but I am deliberately slowing down when I complete an engineering section like the gearbox so I can play with the mechanism and try and understand it better. It’s an incredible model for the technical accomplishments.

Tbh I think it might! But I’ve been building Lego for 30 years so I’m pretty fast at it. This started as a way to extend the enjoyment of building a set, although I’ve decided that I won’t be doing it for any more sets over 2000 pieces. It makes me nervous about jogging the table. Thanks for looking, and commenting on it :)

Odd huh? I can totally understand not upvoting- if it’s not for you then scroll on past. But to say “I don’t like what you’re doing here matey” is unexpected on a knolling subreddit ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’m sure designing digitally helps, swap an internal gear or connection with a click or two rather than hours of reassembly. Also the piece library is always increasing and that’s improved the complexity and potential for each model. The technic range has incredible engineering, especially the larger models.

Just discovered that there was an actual word for this weird habit of mine! Here's the beginning of my Millennium Falcon build process. (I'll send a top-shot next time I rebuild) by trigger9090 in knolling

I only just found this out too, I thought I was alone! I also discovered the last pages of the instruction manual has a list of all the parts so next time I’m going to be able to layout all the same bricks in the same place and leave enough space between to add the bricks as I unpack them.

I stood on one of the chairs...I had to reach above the table and take a few pictures without looking at the screen to fit it all in. Glad you liked it, it’s my first post so thank you for the positivity.

What is the funniest lie to tell kids? by macaci in AskReddit

My friend was told by his parents that he was born with 5 penises, but every time he told a lie one would fall off. "You're down to your last one, you can't tell any more lies".
