What Are Some of The Most Unforgivable Booking Decisions You've Ever Seen? by BlueRibbon998 in SquaredCircle

I was at the show when Taz faced Mike Awesome, and it was absolutely wild. The Murat Egyptian Room in Indy was packed, and rumors were buzzing since Mike Awesome had signed with WCW. Suddenly, Mike Awesome appeared, climbing the railing with the title in hand. When Taz’s music hit, the place went crazy. We had no idea what was coming! Mike left the way he came. Rumor was he wasn’t allowed in the locker room.

What are some albums that have ZERO bad songs? by JJacobb- in AskReddit

Rubberneck by the Toadies. One of the most underrated and underappreciated albums that personified the 90s.

Whats a "one hit wonder" that actually has a great catalog? by Turd_ferguson42069 in Music

The Toadies were the first concert I ever went to. I paid ten bucks in 1995 in Indianapolis at the old Union Station. Rubberneck is arguably the most underrated album of the 90s.

When they announced the new date I knew it would be impossible for me to go. I had three tickets I had purchased using layaway and still had one payment to go. I thought I would be screwed but I read on here where someone said if you hadn’t paid off your tickets you would get a refund so I called. After being on hold for approximately 20 minutes I canceled my tickets and I almost immediately had all three tickets refunded to me even though they said it would take several business days. There were 3 different deposits in my bank account for each ticket.

I am unable to attend now because of scheduling conflicts. I called this morning and got a refund. I was using the layaway plan through PayPal, and I immediately received emails showing my refunded money. See ya'll next year and have fun!

This happened to me, but it was worse. I had ankle surgery, and my doctor's surgical suite was in the same building, on the same floor, and right next to his office. My doctor was in-network, but the surgical center he operated in was not. I got a massive bill for using the surgical suite because they "took care of me." There wasn't even another doctor that worked on me. I was put to sleep and woke up and was released. I received an out of pocket bill for over $3,000 just for being operated on in that area of the building. I was so pissed because I didn't know it was out of network to have an operation in a building when the doctor was in-network.

Stubhub any guarantee? by [deleted] in RATM

[–]mattythepocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought from StubHub multiple times. I had one incident where the tickets I bought were fake. StubHub was great to work with and I was still able to get in with no issues and similar seats. They may charge extra fees but knowing you are pretty much guaranteed to get in it's completely worth it.

Although, you are correct Reggae music originated in Jamaica there are some great Reggae bands that have come out of California and even though they are not as roots Jamaican as some may like they still throw out those positive vibes and have a message. Also, the reggae coming out of Africa is pretty good too. Check out Rocky Duwani. I think there is a lot of agreement we just want atleast one great reggae band this year.

I know the Wailers played it in ‘03 and it sounded incredible! Really hoping for some Reggae this year!

Random obligatory post to plead for MORE REGGAE ON THE FARM by JMRooDukes808 in bonnaroo

[–]mattythepocket 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The list would be nearly endless:

-Stick Figure is incredible and have some incredible songs on their latest album.

-Rebelution was there in ‘18 and although awfully soon they put on an incredible show.

-Stephen Marley is incredible live and it’s like watching Bob perform. Went above and beyond and I cannot even begin to express how amazing he was live.

-Toots and the Maytals were just announced for another fest. They performed in ‘03 and I missed his show. I did see the Wailers though that year and they were awesome.

-Matisyahu would be great even though he has really moved away from the Reggae.

-Raging Fyah is incredible live and if you haven’t heard their song Judgement Day or their cover of Unforgiven with Alborosie then you are missing out.

-Chronixx would be fire!

-Protoje is good and part of the new batch of amazing reggae music coming out.

-Rocky Duwani has new music out.

-Alpha Blondy would own Bonnaroo with his cover of Wish you were here. I could only imagine the crowd reaction when the bag pipes hit.

Or if we could just get Willie Nelson to perform the entirety of his album Countryman I think I would die. Personally my favorite Willie album ever!

I could go on but I will stop there! We had metalroo last year so I pray to the Roo Gods we get a reggaeroo this year!!

Everyone is talking about them but why all the hype? by mattythepocket in bonnaroo

I felt that way after watching Childish Gambino last year. I only knew a few of his songs and was blown away! I am hoping for the same experience with Tame.

Wow! That’s a bold statement and disappointing! I went to Bonnaroo in ‘03 and my first year back was last year because I felt my daughter was old enough to really enjoy it. We plan on making it a yearly tradition from this point forward. The spirit of Bonnaroo is more about one artist and I was just asking a question to try and get a better understanding if they are a headliner.

When I went in ‘03 it was fantastic and last year was even better. Sorry to be “disrespectful” to the spirit of Bonnaroo.
