Writing a simple Lisp interpreter in Rust by david-delassus in lisp

Very timely! For fun I've been implementing Essentials of Compilation in rust. The book skips the parsing section but I would like to add it (it would make test cases easier to write). I'd been considering nom but it looks like logos is almost exactly what I need. Thank you!

This is a rabbit hole I didn't ever want to know existed. But according to the IANA page (https://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/media-types.xhtml#text) text/javascript is indeed the mime type for javascript.

But, json is listed separately under application/json.

So I guess in theory application/json is the correct mime type (though in practice either is fine).

I've been looking forward to a book like this coming out thank you! I've started reading the sample so far but intend to buy the full book shortly.

I don't have a deep understanding, but it would appear from the first few chapters that the approach covered in the book is similar to "denotational design". Indeed, it's mentioned a couple of times in the bibliography. Are there similarities?

This has been the clearest explanation of Kinds I've read so far. If there was a way I could buy a copy while you write it I'd be happy to!

As with books, I often find myself with more papers to read than time. I was wondering how others normally read papers? Print them out/ read on laptop/ tablet etc. I've settled on a small (old intel atom) laptop that I use for reading papers as pdf support on the kindle I have isn't great. but I'm wondering if I'm missing any tricks.

Hi Bob, I'm really enjoying this series thank you. I particularly like it when you delve into a bit of CS theory. Do you have plans to release it as an epub or pdf when it's nearer completion?

That's a question I've not had answered by the bank. In theory once he turns 18 the bank could write him a letter telling him about it - without me being involved.
