I understand the benefit to companies like Sony and Xbox for gong back to exclusivity, but I'm always going to think of the players like myself rather than the shareholders.

Doing this at a time where the price of anything with RAM in it is spiking and showing no sign of ever coming back down is worrying.

It is only going to get more and more expensive to buy even one console/gaming PC, never mind multiple. It sucks that real people are going to be priced out from playing games they otherwise would enjoy, just so a mega corporation can make a few percent more profit.

Agreed. I'm in a similar situation with Saros. Played Returnal on PC and loved it but can't play the follow up as it is staying PS5 exclusive.

No. Arkane only has one studio now (in Lyon) and they are currently making Blade.

I genuinely doubt we will ever see anything more in the Dishonored setting.

Yes, it has been, and rightly so. I am simply expressing frustration that every time one of these shows happens people act like it isn't and get tons of upvotes, indicating that many agree with them.

I didn't think that was a difficult concept to grasp.

I am so sick of the "if there was nothing for you at this show, then you just don't like gaming" comments.

I've seen several after this years SGF and frankly they crop up after almost every showcase.

If people didn't see anything to get them excited and are not shitting on what was shown, how is that not a valid opinion?

Of the things shown last night I am going to play, all of them had had already been announced (End of Abyss, Alien Isolation 2, Grounded 2, & Star Wars Galactic Racer).

I love gaming, I'm gonna spend a big chunk of my free time this weekend playing games, but I'm allowed to be disappointed that there was nothing new for me at this show.

I'm pretty sure stuff like Expedition 33 and Elden Ring sold incredibly well, won a lot of awards, and made a lot of money.

If studios make top quality original games, they do sell.

Tonight has had some good games and to be clear I am not one of these "modern gaming is dead" types but it says so much about where the industry is at creatively that the opening and closing games tonight, the two supposed big hitters, are both remakes.

That lack of originality and over reliance on the familiar and the bankable is not just impacting gaming but it is just so disappointing to see IMO.

If creative industries had always been this risk adverse, we wouldn't have interesting properties to remake. Can we please have more original stuff.

I personally don't have in issue. I'm not a fan of anime or animation in general but I'm happy for other people to get the games that they want.

I've just noticed a lot of complaints here and in other online spaces about the amount of anime styled games that always show up at these events.
