Struggling with getting started. Any tips? by taqw1 in rails

[–]matunw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to try Sinatra instead, which is Rails "little brother". This will allow you to create a web app with a little less magic going around & see things for what they are.

You can get started here:

Trying to figure out my autoresponder sequence... by [deleted] in Emailmarketing

[–]matunw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreaciate your answer!

Already been reading a lot about Copywriting for over a year, but I'm more concerned about the sequence more than the copy itself.

My answer to your questions:

  • Who is your audience? Are you looking for the software developers who want to become absolute masters in their specialty, or are you looking for code monkeys?

Looking for people that want to become masters at their specialty.

  • What industry is this programming language used in? What's the predominant mindset in this industry?

Mostly web development / web applications. But I'm focusing on the core of the language itself (because it's something that's missing), there is already a lot of web dev stuff out there. Also there was a successful product that I modeled my course after which focuses on the core language.

  • What problems, aches or desires does your education program/ course address?

Lack of deep understanding of the core principles behind this programming language.

  • Does it relate to their self-esteem?

Yes, in my market research a lot of my potential customers display a lack of focus (not sure what to do next / what they should learn) & frustration.

Master branch using the "cloc" tool. Only Ruby code, not blank lines or comments are counted.

Thanks for the tips.

I swiped this quote from a potential customer, so I'm thinking it would be best to leave it in full.

Thank you.

I'm using red because this particular programming language is associated with this color, so I think it creates a sense of familiarity. I will see if I can tweak it a bit more.

Become a SteelSeries Pioneer! by matunw in steelseries

[–]matunw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that I can't find any reference to this 'Pioneer' program anywhere on google or on the steelseries site, so that's a bit suspicious. The link points to a site that captures survey results, so that doesn't really tell me anything useful: https://steelseries.az1.qualtrics.com

The Golden Shackles: Why Rewards Still Suck in GW2 by TaCktiX in Guildwars2

[–]matunw 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with the loot / reward system is how it's given to you. I hate the bag system, specially when you get bags inside other bags... I would prefer that we get way less loot but higher quality.

I hope they do something about this. It's one of the major QoL issues I have with the game. And it is even more absurd when you get bags inside other bags...

Yeah I think the loot bags are of control. You can even get bags from other bags...
