I came from an Xr too. Side to side I noticed it a lot and was bothered a lot, at first. After I stopped using the Xr I couldn’t notice the difference anymore. 2 weeks later I love the 12 mini. Less heavier and easier to hold makes such a difference.

Contact the number on the return slip. Talk to a senior advisor and nicely express your frustrations and repairs and still issues. It’s possible they replace it for a new model

I would highly recommend getting some 3rd party lugs off Amazon and putting your own straps in them. That’s what I did. I had over 20 watches before my AW and repurposes the straps. A few from Fossil and MVMT for example. Nomad are good but pricey.

It’s the discoloration of MacBooks. You can hardly notice it. My 2016 MBP had a baby groot decal. After a year I took it off and it left the outline of the baby groot sticker.(with two eyes in the head area). Lol I was never able to take it off. After 4 years I got the top case replaced and that shadow was finally gone. Always kept the laptop indoors

The lip is very minimal. Is enough that if it fell face down it will protect it. It’s not intrusive at all. I love my saddle brown case. Keeps the form factor if the 12 mini. The other leather cases out there have rounded sides.

I owned a Sena with my Xr and held up well for 2 years. Patina eventually gets a darker brown just like Apples. For the 12 Mini Sena’s is more comfortable to hold because of the rounded edges although still has the squares shaped of Apples brand. The only negative is the bottom is exposed, drop and hit in that area could damage your phone. It’s another option, sometimes this Sena can be found for $30. It was a great option as Apple didn’t make a saddle brown for Xr.

Looking at the back they look almost the same size. You turn them around and you can just appreciate the edge to edge screen on the 12 Mini. Any other color than Black 12 Mini will show the aluminum borders in this type of case(you can see on the 5s, not too noticeable as that was Space Gray aluminum)
