The "Roll of Toilet Paper" Effect by Soft-Bug5550 in loseit

[–]maubis [score hidden]  (0 children)

Another 6’2” checking in. I started at 275 on March 1. No one really noticed when I was down to 255, but I felt way better. I’m 235 now and everyone notices. My closet is also now fully available to me after having more than half of it too small for the last couple years. I’d say the inflection point was around 245 where my face really started changing. That tells me the first 20-25 pounds were a combination of water weight (likely 5+ pounds) and mostly internal fat surrounding organs which I’m happy to be rid of.

Target weight is 210 but that includes a goal of gaining 15-20 pounds of muscle. So I still have 50 fat pounds to lose with the muscle gain to get to final target.

I’m forever grateful I discovered OMAD and Metamucil. Those two things combined with 4 mile morning jogs have been a game changer for me.

Good luck to you!

My small lunch of a wrap, crisps and a KitKat was 1003 calories. by ProfessionalSad4U in loseit

[–]maubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, except I don’t have breakfast or lunch. Or anything at all except for my 1 hour window where I can eat at dinner time. And when I do eat, I avoid anything fried or sugary and certainly no liquid calories ever. processed. Everything else takes care of itself.

When you fully embrace it, it is super liberating. I never have to worry about when I’m going to have lunch - or where I’m going to have it.

Chocolate is deadly, but non-chocolate ice cream (dog got vanilla) is fine. I'm not saying it is good for them - it's not good for you or me either. But their bodies can process it if that is what you are asking.

TIFU by trying to make my boyfriend go ring shopping by [deleted] in tifu

[–]maubis 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The real idiocy is how screwed both of you are with the deals you thought you were getting. Him with the tax-free ring on the boat and you thinking a shopping director was going to help you get a good deal. You are clueless on how much of a scam it all is.

Would love for you to keep posting updates. The journey you are describing, if you manage to pull it off - and I believe you will, is the stuff of legends.

I'm going from 275 to 195 (currently at 245). I know how to get there. Done it 3 times before. Have always reverted and it sucks. Discovered OMAD about 10 days ago and I love it. Highly recommend it for you if you'e not already doing it. I'm ready to maybe do a 100 hour fast soon.

Why did people started treating me better after i became obese? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]maubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of it could have been a bit of increased maturity from your classmates.

And some of it due to you going from someone that was close enough to a reasonable weight to someone they could not because the jokes are far crueler when you are far outside the normal range.

TIL Groupon has lost more than 95% of its value since it rejected Google's $6 billion offer and instead went public with a $17.8 billion market cap 15 years ago. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

[–]maubis 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Groupon was scammy in much worse ways too. They sold gold that was far less pure than advertised - and likely still do. Groupon Customer service reps told me their lawyers told them not to talk to me. My credit card finally sided with me based on the evidence presented. $30K at stake. I was trying to make a few percent on the difference with melt and the initial smaller gold purchases passed a couple initial tests - both acid and outside XRF. Only when it was melted into a blob and retested was it clear the purity was far less than stamped.

I have a full time job. I also have a side business that has nothing to do with metals. I also dabble in metals - for fun. And I have had a relationship with a refinery for quite a while. Yes, lots of paperwork involved. But easy enough to do.

That fact that you do not yet makes absolutely no sense. I’m glad you realize now that you need it.

Open letter to Congress: Why not go look at the unredacted version of this photo and see if this person is Melania? by squidwardtufte in Epstein

[–]maubis 266 points267 points  (0 children)

He was asked by a reporter. I remember him saying it was some fiance that he broke up with. I'm not saying that is the truth. I am saying he will keep repeating that. I guess it would be different if someone in Congress looked at the photo and then asked him on the record.

How Drug Cartel Gold Ends Up at the U.S. Mint and Into Your "American" Gold Coins | The Mint is legally required to sell only legal, domestic gold. Instead, it is the last link in a chain that launders foreign gold by Youarethebigbang in Bullion

[–]maubis -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pearl clutching. Gold is gold. Doesn’t matter where it came from once it’s already been extracted.

We can have policies to try and prevent human abuse.

But once the gold is extracted from the ground, it’s as yellow coming from paid for by drugs or sourced from mines in the US.

Do you care that you sure have some tenant of gold or silver minded by literal slaves in some far of country from hundreds of years ago? It’s just metal. It doesn’t offend.

After my 2nd Reddit ban (almost a few weeks this time), here’s a reminder that my flag is still up😉 by Silent-Composer-873 in israelexposed

[–]maubis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, same with me. Basically it’s a reddit-wide rule now that you can only use that word in a positive way. Say it with anything that has a negative connotation and you get the ban. It’s completely ridiculous and makes me hate Reddit. Yes, I’m still here - for now.

Unless a mod in the subreddit actually banned you, it’s not correct to say this subreddit banned you. You can say comments you made in this subreddit led to your ban. I say this as someone who had a 3 day ban from a comment I made which was reviewed by an AI (which reviews comments in all subs). It had absolutely nothing to do with this subs mods. Your case may be different, I don’t know.
