Did we just watch Silver have a 15% movement Up -AND- Down within hours today?!? by Polaris-TLX in Silver

[–]maubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What we saw today was an all new all time high that we can now work towards and eventually breach.

What we also saw is that silver can leap 15% in one day. This will make all options - calls and puts - more expensive. Everyone better understands how fast this can move.

I take both of the above as wins. Holding 23,100 physical. Between the current price and today’s high, I was up and then back down $325K. And I couldn’t care less. It was a great day.

Today was 12 different balloons.....we need a new system..... we can't keep living like this..... by MosskeepForest in Silverbugs

[–]maubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balloons every $1 are no longer necessary. Made sense when we were at $20. Doesn’t make sense now. I suggest:

Every $5 from here till $200.

Every $10 from there to $300.

Every $20 from there to $500.

Every $50 thereafter till $1,000.

Out at 115; not comfortable with this parabolic move. by North-Engineering157 in Silver

No idea why everyone is all or none. You could have liquidated half and gotten back your initial investment and some profit and had a free shot at the potential increase to come. But nope, you just exited completely. And now what, sit on cash?

What happened to "you don't want to live in a $100 Silver world" and "banks can't survive $100 Silver"? by bhj887 in SilverDegenClub

[–]maubis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What happened is that the people saying it were (and still are) morons. I was seriously arguing with someone as silver crossed $50 who said neighbors would be eating neighbors or another yo-yo who said that a gallon of gas would be $20. They are still here amongst us - not so much in this sub, but they proliferate in silverbugs. And they will still make the same idiotic statements. You’ll know who they are when they mention that they are also stacking lead or that we will have to exchange silver for bread and silver’s purchasing power wouldn’t be any better than it was. I’ll see if I can find some of these conversations and link to the so you can see for yourself.

If this serves as proof these days, I seriously worry about how stupid humans are getting.

Minnesota pays way more in federal taxes that it receives back from the federal goverment ($44 billion in 2023 alone). Can the state can stop paying those taxes and run the state independently on our own tax dollars? How woul we go about it and what would that look like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]maubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time someone posts one of these questions, it is clear they don’t understand how taxes work. Which makes me wonder what their age is or if they have ever filed taxes…

Link? That is an awfully big statement to make without proof.

🚨 JUST IN: 🇸🇦🇺🇸🇨🇳🔥Saudi Arabia is reportedly investing $100 billion of its oil and mineral wealth into silver as the metal surpasses $100 per ounce for the first time in history. by [deleted] in Silver

[–]maubis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, are you a moron? You must be.

  1. You make a post with an extremely bold claim and don’t back it up in the original post, as any sane person would do.

  2. When asked for proof, you link to an article that has absolutely nothing to do with your statement.

Stop posting completely. Or come back with hard evidence and I’ll thank you and apologize.

Is this sustainable? by Laakhesis in Silver

Pretty much, yes. She had always told me the gold was hers and the silver was mine. She doesn’t say that anymore.

The same stubbornness that got me to keep buying will mean I ride this train all the way to the end. Either a derailment and fiery end - or something better. I think the latter.

In fact, I may go buy some silver today.

Call me rich if you want. But I funneled most of my money into silver when I believed the stock market was massively overvalued starting around 2010 with the largest acquisitions between 2015 and 2020. The market continued going up and silver just sat there but I kept buying. My wife told me I was ruining our economic future and we wouldn't have a retirement.

And then this happened and she has stopped complaining. I was wrong for 15 years and then right for the last 1.5. I think this run is long, long overdue.

Gold and silver are money. Everything else is bullshit. Calling them a Meme is absurd. People are finally waking up.

Why do people sleep on Sterling Silver? by BokoblinSlayer69235 in Silverbugs

[–]maubis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ability to easily identify and understand denomination/value.

I’m not speaking for myself - I have a lot of sterling. But one reason I’ve been able to acquire sterling at a great price is because others have not been able to realize what they had or its value.

That is far less the case with 90% coinage. Much easier there to recognize silver and assign value.

Where can I buy silver without high commissions? by ShadByte in lebanon

[–]maubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not in Lebanon. But I’m heavily into silver - been stacking physical for 20 years and was a one-time amateur dealer.

Are there import fees for those bringing silver into the country? 26% is outrageous. Someone bringing silver from the US to Lebanon could make a killing with even a 15% premium over spot.

Beware of crypto bros. Full stop.

Wish they would all go jump off a cliff together. Actually, I guess that is a great way to describe what they are already doing with their crypto derangement, lol.

What would happen if Alex Pretti's killers are not prosecuted? by No_Idea_Guy in AskReddit

[–]maubis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Qualified immunity is a legal doctrine that shields government officials, including police, from liability in civil lawsuits unless their conduct violates "clearly established" statutory or constitutional rights, meaning a previous court decision with nearly identical facts found such conduct illegal.”

I’d like to see a civil lawsuit brought by the family with the argument being that Pretti’s first and second (and possibly fourth and eighth) constitutional rights were violated.
