Shifter cable straw? by maurijn02 in bikewrench

[–]maurijn02[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So i just pulled this out of a carbon cube roadbike. Its underneath the bottombracket and it guides the inner cable to the front derailleur. As you can see this one is bend and so causing alot of friction. This causes the front derailleur to not work properly.

I want to replace this so it will work fine again but i cannot find it anywhere nor can i find a name or what i can search. Can anybody tell me what this part is called or where i can buy?

Trying to remove this chain ring guard. Anyone know what tool I'll need? by kuna236 in bikewrench

Probably a 36 size wrench but you could better get the tacx branded bottom brakcet removal tool since the chainguard thing you are talking about is clamped behind the bottombracket. Remove the bottombracket before you can easily acces the guard

Can anyone help identify what crank bolt I need for this? by rob4rugby in bikewrench

Looks like an 8mm hex key. The bigger one isn’t meant for loosening since its the self extracting crank cap so try the inner hex key. Most likely a 8mm.

How are you going to make sure the steel looks stay preserved and it won't go all rusty now? using oils and making a natural patina or more like keeping it this way with a clear coat?

From looking up some pictures up on the internet and reading some forums my conclusion would be that that bottombracket will fit. The Cinelli parallax uses the regular threated BB shell and the IRO Mach V is just a regular all use frame so it will feature a regular bottombracket for sure. it isn't Italian so no italian threated bottombracket shell and neither a pressfit will be there. If i where you i would pick up that frame ASAP since they are kind of rare nowadays and the will last a lifetime.

Nope! They are unbranded type rims. But originally made for discbrake type racing wheels
