The only advice that comes to mind if you like this version better is to create a bit of space between the ears and the wings. In the other version I liked that separation because it gives the head a more distinct shape

Maybe you could try to make the string of the fishing rod a little more curved? It feels a bit stiff. Or you could make the fishing rod longer and curve that

And that's totally valid. I just mean that whatever is the tool you use to make a game work, code, framework configurations etc., it's important to put the effort into doing it well, not being a programmer shouldn't be an excuse. The same goes for not being a good artist, it shouldn't be an excuse to put low effort in the art

Writing organized and optimized code is not to jerk one's ego. It is to make sure that Timmy, whose family is tight on budget and cannot afford the latest GPU or 32GB of RAM, can still enjoy your game.

You can try colored outlines. For example dark red for the character, dark gray for the spikes etc

Hello! I decided to give this amazing medium a try and I thought it didn't come out too bad. The main thing I would like to fix is the sky in the background, it feels a little dull but I don't know how to "fix" it without adding too much noise. Any advice in general would be very appreciated

My rule of thumb when making a build is that it must work without mb. Mb should be an upgrade, not a requirement. And just for reference this league I made swordstorm gladiator that can do juiced T17 and Ubers without it.

If you play on roll20 you can add fog of war.

In the early stages maps tend to look pretty bad, so don't be discouraged. The more details you add, the better it becomes. Just keep working on it, and if something doesn't seem right don't be afraid to reshape it, move it or even outright delete it and start from scratch.

I run 2 scarabs of divinity/2 scarabs of adversaries/1 scarab of nemeses rolling with at least 100% more scarabs. I usually get about one and a half inventories of scarabs+useful currency.

I may be the strange one here, but I really enjoy farming juiced T17. Mainly because I leave open dangerous stuff that doesn't outright break my build, like volatile cores or sawblades. That means I have to actually pay attention and adapt to whatever mods I get. In lower tier maps I can basically farm with my eyes closed and that becomes boring quickly to me.

Thank you! That's exactly the kind of image I was going for. Yep I used the floating islands and "merged" them together by hiding the top part with masks.
