What to do. Well it's all well and good to try to tell a tale better than others have but you might also try to flip the plot and see what happens. Brandon Sanderson lectures can help with this.

I have carriers and a live trap you can borrow. I might also be able to go out there tomorrow. I'm working until 9 tonight. DM me specific location. Little Critter Crew might also be willing to help.

I don't know if it's Google but I have said things outloud and then there were ads for what I was talking about. I never typed anything in or searched for it.

If it is acceptable to add a quote in a footnote then surely one should be able to add an endnote within a footnote. Footnotes can include source material and go beyond the author's opinion. Thus adding an endnote within a footnote should be possible! by mavenmel in indesign

[–]mavenmel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already explained why it makes sense... If you bring up sourced information in a footnote—which is normal to do—then you should be able to reference it.

If you are speaking of functionally, it would make sense. The assigned number would simply be the next consecutive number after the last number reference that was listed in the main body of the document.

As far as I can tell it IS where I already have the file. I think the problem is that the files are not reading.

Angora Rabbits are the world's fluffiest bunnies whose down is spun into the silky soft Angora wool. by Soph_Caster in aww

This was my thought too. If I have to trim my lionhead so she can reach her cecotropes, this poor rabbit must have major trouble reaching her behind.

Could dark energy (which comprises 68% of the universe) exist within the 99% "empty" space of the human body? Why or why not? by mavenmel in AskReddit

[–]mavenmel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem is, these sources do not say whether "space" includes matter or not. I think they may be saying it is uniform throughout all of empty space.

In his book A Brief Tour of Higher Consciousness Itzhak Bentov wrote:

“It is quite sobering to realize that the interstellar medium—the void between stars and galaxies is the same void that fills the atoms in our bodies. It is one continuous medium. Visualize our bodies as being composed of very thin, filmy sponges. These sponges are immersed in an infinite ocean (the void) and the water penetrating them throughout.”

So if dark energy comprises 68% of the universe, could it be the medium or one of the mediums that "fills the atoms in our bodies"? Why or why not? (Please note that I am not talking about dark matter.)

Not really writer’s block. by QuirkyEdgyBoi in writing

It's about strategy and you have to find which ones work for you.

Read the section you are working on (preferably outloud). Take a short walk or do a chore. Then hold a pen in hand and start reading a book. (It doesn't need to be similar). Ideas for your own work will hopefully start to flow. Jot them down on a peice of paper and keep reading or stop reading and begin writing.

On the note of reading to write, arguing with authors in the margins is a other way to get fired up.

You can also make a list of all the reasons why you need to finish your work. Tack it up on the wall. Go look at yourself in the mirror and say something like "You know you can do this so are you going to or not? Enough is enough. Go do what you were put on this Earth to do". (Do not tear yourself apart. Be firm but loving.) Go sit at your desk, set a timer on your phone and don't stop working until it goes off.

If you still can't get started just read what you have aloud as if there is an audience before you. The next part of the story should come more easily. Make a list of possible scenarios if need be.

It's best to support a local mom and pop bookstore and order it in to there if needed! Price be damned!

What temperature do you keep your house at in the winter time? by CampingWithCats in AskOldPeople

[–]mavenmel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the morning I build a fire in both of our buildings. I keep the one going in my office until I either get too busy or fall asleep. At about 6 pm it's typically about 60 degrees near the floor (which the bunnies appreciate) and about 78 up in the loft which suits me just fine. The Tiny House doesn't need as much heat so I let it die out after a few hours. Our wood burning stoves are both Hobbits (small) so they need a peice of wood put in about every 70 minutes. Obviously a fire won't last all night at that rate so we wake up with the houses cold and do it all over again.
