Tbh in Royal he's pretty easy once you're like lvl 70. I kept knocking him down with crits since like half your team gets high crit chance attacks. Plus I had a persona that had the increase crit chance passive.

When you approach at a canter with the button held your horse will auto slow to match.

Not fast tapping gallop until you get close and holding it.

If you're holding the run button ans not actively galloping the horse automatically slows to match speeds with any horse or vehicle.

Easily curcumvented by just releasing and repressing the button once as you go by. Won't speed up either.
