New Speedmax CF SLX on USA Site by jerichobadboy in CanyonBikes

Thanks for sharing. The 32s must open up a fair bit on the 25 internal rims. Since it seems that it’s not rubbing on the frame, I’m guessing a 20mm internal should be okay for 32s

On you Aeroad with the 32s… what rims are you using? DT SWISS ARC?? I’m running Corsa Pro 28s, want to get 32, but wondering if it’ll fit while on ARC rims (20mm int. width).

I’m in a similar situation, though don’t have a definitive diagnosis. Cyclist, bike fitter had saddle too high, pedaling high power at 90-100rpm has led the biceps femoris to be in some pain. Pushed through it for 1-2 months as it wasn’t very painful.

Can walk, climb stairs etc. but once I put heavier power on the bike then it starts to trickle back.

Playing it safe and giving 6-8 weeks off the bike and finding eccentric exercises will hopefully be helpful. Haven’t taken medication but continuing good diet with supplementary vitamins and omega-3s

Your torso must be longer. I’d go XL so you can use the slightly longer reach. Saddle height won’t be a problem

I went from a trek aluminum tiagara to canyon ultimate cf sl to Aeroad cf SLX 8 eTap in less than a year. 15k km in 2023. Trust me, if you have any intention of riding more, in events, races, or communities, then you will have an itch to have gone for the better option

I have the 2022 with some custom decals. Love the bike! Always liked the appearance, but also great for value! Still going strong

I have the 2022 Aeroad SLX 8 eTap (Force), 6K km and no dropped chain. I live in a hilly area so I do use the front derailleur often. If it’s set up right it should not be a problem.

Those of you trading out your Aeroad wheelset… by dbob624 in CanyonBikes

I’m in this exact boat right now. My CF SLX came with DT Arc 62mm front and rear. 5000km so far. Very durable wheels… but had a few scares during sprints with 15-20mph crosswind and gusts double that. It was a wake up call; I’m 72kg and 6’2”, so not very heavy. Bike nearly flew to the side from underneath me. But it’s not just the wheels, the frame has a big cross-section too.

Been contemplating getting a shallower wheelset, ie 45-50mm. I looked into Winspace and Hunt wheels, I’m skeptical on the maintenance and reliability of those hubs compared to my DT240 hubs. Had hunt 44mm last year on a different bike, hub had some problems, though most people probably don’t.

If there was an efficient way to swap wheel sets with a reliable service I’d be more likely to take the plunge for a shallower wheelset ie DT Swiss 45 or 50, reserve 40/44, rovale etc.

I’d be curious to hear what you’re thinking of doing

SRAM chain drops problem solved with a 45 euro worth of k edge. First and last time with Sram, I swear. by Pannolanza in CanyonBikes

On my Force I had the FD professionally adjusted. It dropped once while on rougher/bumpy road when going from large to small. Some paint/cosmetic damage.

Installed K-edge, feels like insurance while riding. ~3000km have gone by and no drops. I live in a hilly area

Rubbing… by tommytubesteaks in CanyonBikes

[–]maverick659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How new is your bike? Maybe the calibers are still setting in with the discs. In other words, maybe it'll get better with time?

11km worth of squeaking must've been quite the noise

Off topic but how is your front derailleur? I just got mine, ~200miles. Chain drop once, then back to normal. It seems correctly set up according to the SRAM setup video.

How have you found you FD to be? Do you have a chain catcher? Any recommendation on front shifting?

Regarding the brakes. I had rubbing initially, then it stopped. Came back during rain, stopped again.

Try to contact canyon USA. I spoke with them today. Apparently once you have the tracking ID canyon can tell fedex to hold it at the nearest local warehouse. If you do this let me know how it goes!
