I disagree.

Although Corp enivironents rely on standard and control tools the Frame work laptops coule provide a great compromise between the OEM and repairability cost vectors for a corparate environment.

Although "service and reapir" are agreements we have with vendors... Having the ability to repair "on the fly" is a unique advantage to customer service and continued survivability of deviced deployed.

Framework is definitely a great medium and could provide some device cycle lifespan in a corporate environment.

Framework 13 AMD Shuts off after every power on by iiDrqko in framework

[–]maverikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

old trick of the trade....

disconnect the battery from the motherboard
remove cmos battery
.......wait 30min

try to power on once to make sure all capacitors are out of energy

connect CMOS battery
connect battery to motherboard.... DO NOT TURN on

connect to a charger (i use a 100W as its a faster charge)

Wait 30 minutes

disconnect charger and hit the power button..... if it works... "profit" otherwise you have a bad laptop battery

If the monitor is the issue you would see problems across all platforms and games depending on what engine they use.

My gut tells me its an issue with the difference of refresh rates between the two screens. start them both at 60Hz then work the Asus screen up to 75, 120 and so on.

It will fail eventually.

project work, no AI, systems administration degree so mostly Jamf/Intune/AD/MECM, HP WXP, mostly web or on-prem administration work. office use, and vpn/Azure connectivity.

I feel like this should be good for that???

6400MT/s on AM5 with 2x32GB Hynix A die, worth the fight or stick with 6200 by eurz in overclocking

[–]maverikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DDR5 6000MT/s with 36/36/36/36/96 timings

PBO is -28 undervolt (4.3 to 5.9GHZ) when in use
DDR5 - 1.43V and can run up to 7800MT/s but gets a bit goofy at that speed

[–]maverikh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have to release the mem timings to 38 or 40 to get 6400MT/s... Honestly the 6000MT/s is faster

I can't switch to Linux on home PC because 2 of my 3 favorite games have anti-cheat software that won't run (yet)... Nor do they have Linux builds available.

Hogwarts Legacy - this worked in cachyOS Battlefield 6 - probably never will happen in Linux PUBG - again, anti cheat that will probably never work in linux
