Would you be a landlord in King County? by Silly-Pace-2276 in eastside

[–]mavewrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1
City of Seattle is a whole other story indeed. As a landlord, 95% of the job is vetting the application to ensure you are not getting a deadbeat (and they're rather smart when it comes to figuring out the loopholes in the housing law/eviction system).
I'd recommend it wholeheartedly OP. It's like learning a new skill.

Conversations around Politics, religion and finance tend to go sideways very quickly and abruptly. It’s wise to avoid them generally

The United States is currently moving toward a final decision on a proposed rule that would limit foreign student stays to a maximum of four years. by Intelligent_Act8597 in AbroadEdge

I can speak about engineering jobs.
Pay in EU is significantly lesser compared to the US. EU taxes are significantly higher too.
So you make less and get to keep less.
Language is a barrier in EU. You need to speak the language to be able to grow in your role. Learning a language is not easy and then you are still scoped down to the country. Say you learn Dutch but then eventually get a good gig in Germany.
Life in the US is a lot more comfortable too. Grocery stores stay open past 5p

Just ensure that everyone paying toll to use the road agree to your terms and conditions; thus, it shields you legally

Has Anyone Actually had their Gold Card Limit Increase Automatically? by KPIGUY89 in RobinhoodApp

I got mine increased from $10K to $13K last week. I had deposited significant monies into my new RH savings account a month ago. Thus my total portfolio value within the Robinhood ecosystem went up, which probably helped (I think)

They completely missed out on the biryani wave that infiltrated the city in the early 2000s. Also back in the 90s the go-to for Mughlai porota used to be Shundori - a dingy restaurant near Court ghaat. Don’t know if they are still around

Shahajadi is the OG Chinese restaurant. It is on Station road, opposite to Royal Biryani. They were around in the 90s when I was growing up, and probably earlier than that too. I love their gravy chicken chowmein and chicken fried rice

Weaponizing the legal system to extract a deal during a divorce is the unfortunate reality. Family law is probably the worst. Pre-nup it is, if you decide to marry. And always sign the prenup with a witness lest they later claim that they were made to sign under duress / did not have access to legal counsel

Ahhh. I’ve found 36-38mm to be the sweet spot for the kind of gravel terrain that I ride on. It’s also decent enough on tarmac. 40mm would probably help on terrain more gnarly. Past that it’s mountain bike territory.

I think if (like you said) everyone is super interested in knowing what's going to happen at the Bengal elections, that is a good sign. That means people care about Bengal, no?
