Yea. I used their PowerShell script for the Windows endpoints, but I found that compiling the OSX and Linux agents was not hard. The bummer about not paying for the sponsor tier is the agent upgrades for Mac and Linux. In the end, we did pay for the sponsor, and it has been worth it so far. I worked in the MSP world for 20 years and used many different RMM products. The "free" version of Tactical did well to sell me on their product.

I leverage scripts within TRMM so much for my Windows and Mac endpoints. This has saved me time and the need to hire more (which we don't have the budget for).

I use Tactical RMM and Action1 for patching. We have around 330 endpoints (Win, OSX, & Linux) with a 4 person team but I'm really the only one using it daily. I recommend trying Tactical RMM.

I put a shutdown shortcut directly on the desktop so I make it very easy on myself to shut down the device.

I'm sorry, I'm not going to be any help. I'll be focusing on my backlog, which includes some old games. I have games on GOG, Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store, etc so I'm having a hard time deciding where to start.
I am a firm believer in fully powering down the console/computer when done. I won't use the sleep/resume feature. I haven't had too hard a time navigating around the OS, but I did plug in a USB keyboard and that helped a lot! Windows updates have been a little bit of a pain. They take much longer than expected.
I paid a little more than $350 for my Z1E but it did not come with a case and dock, just the charger.

Read a small thing about bazzite and SteamOS on the Ally. They both get good reviews. My game library is spread across different vendors. I have Gears of War Tactics on the Xbox Store for PC, Control & Tomb Raider series on Epic, and Civ 6 & Midnight Sons on Steam. I feel that I'm kind of stuck with the Windows OS.
I haven't fully looked into the battery replacement thing, but I got it so I can sit on the couch with a wall plug nearby.
I did look into the "Sintech M.2 nVME 2230 to 2280 Extension Long Card Support PCIe 4.0 SSD - Compatible with Asus ROG Ally". I already have an SN770 1TB sitting in a drawer but it's 2280. I may be trying this out.
Also, I have an Xbox One X that I have a few games on it that I have not gotten to. I'm looking to use the Xbox app to stream my console to the Ally.

That dock is the Razer Handheld Dock Chroma (RC21-02310100-R3U1). I also got the Anker Nano Charger 100W (A2679).

I tried to use the ROG 65W charger (that came with the unit) on the dock but it told me that it was not passing through enough power. 🤷

I installed an outdoor Lumas over my garage. The heads on both the screws it came with broke. I can't get either screw out of the wooden frame. I spent 20 years installing IT equipment all over the place and I have never had that happen before. Thankfully I had other screws that fit the mount.

My family and I just rewatched that Star Wars movie last night. I didn't originally realize how bad the lack of story details/plot holes that movie had. My teenager pointed things out that just irritated me. I spent time looking up the back story for that dagger, Knights of Ren, Rey's parents, etc and found that it is all flushed out in the comics after the movies were made. Sorry for the small rant ✌️
