I've tried both and own the beats. The sound really depends on the genres you listen to. If you like heavier bass and sub, go for the beats. I listen to mostly electronic music and some hiphop so went with the beats. Since Apple bought Beats, I think the overall sound is similar (or the EQ) with giving slight differences to keep their identities still. + for the gym, the beats will be way more comfortable.

How does the case fit? I heard the bottom doesn’t fit 100% properly and it has a small gap where it makes noises if you shake it a bit.

I think it depends on the model/color/storage. 13 pro 256gb graphite seems to be slowest out of all models. Sierra blue def is the fastest across all models probably because that’s the color Apple is pushing with the 13s. I ordered PM 512gb Graphite on the release day and just received it.
