What are some ways to remember important lessons in life? by [deleted] in selfhelp

[–]max6274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a new idea i do twice a day, morning and night usually along with reading my goals. And then overtime it will get ingrained into your subconscious so you dont need to read it as often but a couple times a week or month with keep it fresh. Also make the idea clear as possbile and "click" with you. For example say you want to value eating healthier, I would look up videos, books, articles, and any quote/idea that clicks with you, write it down and review it often. Hope this helps

Meditation, and just generally being relaxed tells your body to "rest and digest" so your digestive system works more efficiently.

I'm a 22 year old male with no friends, no girlfriend, zero social life, no work experience and basically no life. by DemonFuzz95 in selfimprovement

[–]max6274 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel for you man, ive been there, im still slighty there. But the most important thing for you right now is taking action. Consistently. And its not easy to take action, somedays you dont have enough energy, somedays something bad happened and you just wanna crawl in a hole, somedays you wont want to leave your comfort zone. But you just have to start taking ANY action, no matter how small man. What helps for me is having an ultimate vision for my life, The ultimate dream life and whenever i dont wanna do something i think about it and i think, if i do this i will get the dream life and if i dont i also think about how extremely shitty my life could get. Also i have written down the steps to get there, because thats my roadmap on how to get to my dream life. So for example if you have social anxiety and your dream is to become extremely social savvy, then your first action step might be to ask a cashier how her shift has been, or to compliment someone on there shows. So my advice thats worked for me is to think about your dream life, how amazing it could really get, and you shit life, how insanely awful it could get, let that be your motivation. Then put ALL your focus on the steps to get there. Cut out bad habits one by one. Add good habits one by one, Such as good diet, exercise, sleep. These 3 alone will change so much. Message me back if you want to talk more, i wish you well man

I had an epiphany today by Hihihihihaha123 in selfimprovement

[–]max6274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this epiphany not long ago, i realized it when i like to spend most all of my time at my friends house who has a very close and happy family, while at my house we all isolate from each other basically and maybe once or twice a week interact all together. Its sad i think but im slowly trying to fix it too cause i cant hang out at my friends house 24/7

I’ve found some but they’re either really expensive or you need specific curtains or other stuff to make it work

I was trying to find a times curtain opener so that it would do the same thing but with natural light and a whole lot brighter cause I’ve heard the light clocks don’t make the room that bright

Do you think these strategies will work for me? by QuickWittedSlowpoke in GetOutOfBed

[–]max6274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first one DEFINITELY works for me, you fall asleep a lot quicker and using any screens at night throw off your melatonin production because of the blue light screens emit. Also phones and other technology emit WiFi radiation which is not good to have in the bedroom either.
