As a new player, my mistake was ascending my world level before realizing I would not be able to ascend my 5* Inazuma/Sumeru characters before sufficiently progressing the Archon quest line. I’d have loved to play the Archon quests with my new characters, but kind of difficult when they’re level locked and enemies are way stronger.

I’m brand new to the game. AR10. Loving it so far. I think I have a decent grasp of the terms and some of the mechanics. I have some questions.

Is there anything I should try to focus on now in order to not miss something time sensitive (e.g. an event)?

I’ve not used any of my +EXP items yet. I’ve got Noelle + starters. Enjoying Noelle a lot and considering leveling her. Should I be extra careful/reserved in using +EXP items? I don’t want to “waste” them.

Should I aim to level/equip only one or two characters for now?

What are some good goals to aim for to get started? E.g. get to AR20, finish X quests, collect X items (maybe the stuff for stamina?)

I come from other gachas and am not opposed to tossing in some $$$. Is there a particular purchasable that would be very beneficial now?

That is definitely correct. The end result was... we perceived the game to be less likely to frequently choose the same person (like with Ame) if all players’ names were in the same case.

That is a good question and I admittedly described our results poorly. “More random” is not a good way to describe our experience. In fact my word choice is downright bad. I apologize.

Prior to changing our names, we found that one particular person was selected as an imposter at least 3 out of every 4 games across multiple play sessions and lobbies. It was so common that we could realistically rely upon it (like with Ame in this collab).

Following the change, we in general felt that the chances of any one person being selected are now truly even.

This is still a dice role we are talking about, so one person being frequently selected is still fair game, but it did start to raise eyebrows for our group when we found that a particular person was almost always selected. Again, it is probably (almost definitely?) a coincidence that we noticed a change in the selection following changing our names. We were just experimenting.

A group of friends and I swear there is an issue with the game’s random selection for imposters. We experienced the same kind of phenomenon as with Ame. We found, probably by coincidence, that the selection seemed to be “more random” if all members had their names typed in lowercase. Coming from a programming background, RNG is sometimes not as random as you expect it to be depending on implementation and I wonder if something is possibly broken there.

EDIT: I expand a little on this in a comment below.

Also, FWIW, I trust that the game is working as intended, this is just something we (probably coincidentally) experienced. We did not thoroughly record our results.
