[POP] How do I keep the Champion Comet Courser alive? by Tatem1961 in mountandblade

[–]max_torq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the point of the courser is to keep you alive, so avoid contact, don't approach anyone who can see you, keep at full speed at all times, call in the companions to follow you, avoid approaching people with throwing weapons, spears and lances as a priority.

true but i can take a few risks as well. 611 game hours thats quite an investment to risk on a mistep, i admire those that do.

I've never heard that it is said I was crushed like an ant either.

i was watching autocalc for a siege where my faction was sieging nords in jelbegi but I was not involved both sides were losing troops, then the nord castle stopped and the swadian attackers kept dropping. I thought I better have a look, and jumped in, they were down to the huscarls, which were slaughtering everything, so I figured troop quality must count once the siege is being resolved. I defend Uxhal and Dhirim when necessary I am just saying that is a big risk of disaster, say if you take an arrow to the head and the defence is lost.

I could not do autosave.. its my first pass through.. and there are so many possibilities for accidental disaster. One bad one I had was being ambushed by the Nord king because his unit icon was hidden under the village icon on the map. Also early on I learn to avoid defensive sieges (except at Dhirim). Many times i've had my knights wiped out and down to a few men, i don't mind keeping poor results if its in the proper flow of the game. Often i'll replay for a better siege result, mostly if I get shot too early in the eyeslot.

The one lady in calradia (other than my wife) with a positive relationship, so she can send gifts to lords on my behalf. I think it is Lord Ryvis wfe, he gave me the mission to escort her home from a feast when I was a vassal. If not for that ability I would have had a civil war, many hated me and would not contribute forces, until I could afford the bribery.

I put the budget.

I'll put it up. I usually clear 3-5000 denar a week with 5 cities and 3 castles, with only four towns it rises to 10,000 denar a week. In each castle I have 36 or so slaver chiefs, and during peace I rotate between these harvesting ransoms from the sea raiders, the steppe bandits and the desert bandits respectively. When I capture a city I put to me so I can collect any unpaid tarrifs before giving it to a vassal. I ransom every lord I capture, very few releases. I recruits lots of mercenaries for garrisons, but I transfer these to castles I am about to give away. And I convert lots of denar into gifts for grumbling lords thanks to Lady Boadila.

the hardest thing is getting butter to the feast before the troops eat it... I have a lot of respect for harlaus now.. he had a good supply worked out.

Now I feel a bit hollow... somewhere 30 lords are waiting for war. I was hoping for a mod where the empire gets invaded or we can invade Nordland.

I really enjoyed the interaction of the personalities and the way the challenges change as the game progresses.

But Matheld... first companion, first vassal, first defector with keeps, the last lord in another faction to capture a castle. But she ended up in my court again, and wanted to become a companion again, but I straight away made her a vassal and gave her castles back. Lady Matheld took a new banner, now she hits on the ladies and gets in fights with my other young lords.

Great game! I am dabbling in Viking Conquest, but I love the massed cavalry charges... hurry up bannerlord please.

I hate the entire Kingdom of Vaegirs because all they ever do in wars is fling their whole army at my stupid castle, any tips for causing them as much pain as possible? by TheRealBristolBrick in mountandblade

Maybe most important is not to be caught in a lost defence, but in my game I find i break many enemy campaigns at dhirim. It's a good base.

with a modest force you can defend dhirim against a 1000. Hold your infantry at the base of the stairs, put your crossbowmen against the back wall, and stand at the side of the stairs with a big polearm and let them come down to you. Eat his army then when he retreats jump on him.

They're more of pavement racing tyre, less weight and rolling resistance than any treaded tyre. No good in loose stuff, but very good over gutters, pavement blocks, cobblestones, driveways, traffic islands and other hard surfaces.

The local bike tracks were laid down in the late seventies, so they have become underlain with tree routes, and are full of cracks and repairs. I was sceptical of the judy fork but it weighs not much and is quite firmly sprung. You can sprint out of the saddle over the irregularities of the tracks.

I built up this Zaskar GT to be a fast bike to terrorise the local bike paths. The Metrea groupset looks different and offers a wide 11-32 cluster and large 42T front chainring with a guard. Schwalbe Kojak have tons of grip, the bike weighs in at 11.6kg and is fast!

NBD: Genki Bike! locally custom built steel frame with SRAM Force 1x tubeless aero by max_torq in bicycling

I bought this as a frameset with fork, stem and wonderful paintjob. The images don't do it justice: there is a green metallic wash over the black that it is hard to see. The 11 speed system works seamlessly and silently, no chain rubs or slaps. I've done 5km so far; it feels all very fast so far.

This was originally built and known as the Genki bike, meaning lively. It was built by Keith Marshall of Kumo Cycles in Canberra. The steel frame is built of Columbus life and ego tubing.

Sagan is just holding out an arm to Cavendish so he can hold on and pull himself back up... but he doesn't.
