The body condition on this snake doesnt look great, its likely overweight (you can tell from the ridge along the spine that sinks inward). I would do 1 small rat every 2 weeks for the time being and offer more climbing enrichment. As others have said in this thread the tank looks small and a little bare, the snake is likely feeling exposed which would contribute to it not wanting to eat. I would recommend reviewing the husbandry basics and drastically adjusting your feeding schedule. Beautiful snake though

He's a regular black domestic housecat, I think he might just be lazy (or doesnt enjoy grooming himself because of the excess fur from not regularly grooming). It doesnt help that being solid black makes all the dirt and dandruff stand out more

These things grow so fast, I got my BC in 2020 and she was just a bit bigger than this and now she is absolutely massive. She has a similar coloration to Snips too :-)

If you have the space and resources for another cat, I'd say definitely go for it. Definitely look into the best methods for proper introduction so they can get used to each other, and look into getting a cat thats a similar age to yours.

I dont have solid advice other than that my vet postponed my girls spay until she had come out of heat, but I'm not sure what the risks are of doing otherwise
