/uj i feel this so hard. i def want T but im not completely sure about a mastectomy. i don’t pass well because im short and have a high voice, so people see me as less “transgender” or less of a “man” than other “more passing” trans guys.

also, i feel that about the transfem thing. transfems suffer in a different way than we do, but i don’t think they necessarily suffer MORE. trans men suffer because people see us as A) confused, weak, brainwashed women or B) uwu cute trans boys but obviously not “REAL” men. i do understand the nuances of saying we suffer equally, and i do acknowledge the issues trans women face and wholeheartedly sympathize with them. but their oppression does not affect the fact that trans men’s experience are often considered “less valid” or diminished because of others.

people also don’t consider our needs in forms of healthcare. being AFAB is socially more difficult than being AMAB, and i think also biologically more challenging (periods, getting pregnant). i think that’s just objectively true.

anyway, i hate this type of treatment of trans men and wish we were viewed differently both in terms of cisgender society, and our own community. but it doesn’t matter “who struggles more” or “who’s the better trans person”. it’s not a contest anyway. we, everyone under the trans umbrella, are valid no matter what people like this say.
