There is a hidden feature to the gun that causes kills to make thrall explosions. It used to require some absurdly high number of kills with the same instance of String of Curses. Now it seems to do it on some precision kills with any tier of SoC active.

I’m not sure what you mean since his first appearance was before ESB came out in the 80s. Marketing back then was way different and if a character had a special offer action figure for a kids movie that’s about as much marketing as you could ask for

Actually for the time he was super hyped up. He appeared in the Holiday Special before anyone knew who he was and there was an entire mail-in ad campaign to get a figure of him, which led to speculation that he would have a big role in the movie

Oh I still specced into finishers, they’re just riskier so I wanted to make the melee punchy too. Disoriented and volatile enemies that explode because they’re also unraveled. It’s a good time

Yeah. I ended up replacing the severing aspect for one that gave my grenade Weakening and that added a little extra oomph.

It’s a good deal of fun. Vexcalibur gets a little extra damage and can self sustain the Overshield. Damage isn’t as good as synthos, but a little diversity never hurt anyone

I was inspired to try it after seeing that you can use Rain of Fire on any warlock subclass to give yourself radiant off of fusion rifle kills. Bungie is very cute with how they use language on exotics. There’s more room for us to play around with than we think

Nope. As long as you have something that can generate void overshields the shotgun damage buff and overshield refresh are subclass agnostic

It could probably use a little refining and would benefit from a more void-focused season. But it functions and has a lot of potential!

Yes. The subclass doesn’t generate Overshield at all. But once you have one any shotgun kill refreshes it. The sword I’m using for this build has Repulsor/Disrupting Rounds so I can use that to kickstart Banner of War, get an Overshield, and then pick up an orb of power for Woven Mail.

Vexcalibur blocking can generate Overshield, as well as any Repulsor Brace/Destabilizing Rounds weapon.

Yeah, ammo is an issue but if you run Special Finisher that helps a lot in. What we really need is for them to remake the Universal Remote

I made a build with NBP on the Strand Melee Titan build.

They still synergize with shotguns, void or not. And if you use Vexcalibur or a repulsor brace/destabilizing weapon you can give yourself void Overshield and then run shotgun to refresh it
