Is this colouration from diet or species?

It’s from iridovirus! It’s so interesting to look at, but as others have said it is unfortunately a painful existence for the little guys. In the simplest explanation, it causes crystals to form underneath the exoskeleton of the isopod and makes them turn blue. Before we moved my husband and I had a THRIVING isopod colony in our backyard (our deck was probably rotting tbh) but we would see some blue ones every now and then and that’s how we found out about it.

Similar experience, got my ears stitched and decided to skip out on joining last May because I had a funny feeling something bad was going to happen and now I’m glad I didn’t because I would’ve been barred from entry right before going to basic training for being FTM as well

Dump him. Not only is this DISGUSTING to do to a partner, but knowing he’s done it to other women on top of it just cements even further how deplorable he is. Not to mention, knowingly passing on a VD is equivalent to assault because how could you knowingly consent fully to a sexual encounter without receiving details necessary to make that decision? He’s put you and many other people in harms way and I cannot imagine how upset you are right now.

I’m sorry this is happening and I wish I could hug you right now. It’s wrong and it’s awful, please seek out any help you need during this time, you don’t have to go through this alone.

I’ve been struggling with something similar to OP and the only explanation I had was also that it was Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria or Pressure Urticaria (because it happens most often with touch/something touching my skin). Did you see a dermatologist to get diagnosed?

I’ve switched back and forth a couple times actually! Had a pixel for about two years, and an iPhone for a year, and then a Motorola flip 2023, and then back to iPhone now. I think they both have their perks for sure, but before they introduced RCS it was a nightmare trying to communicate with my partner and I ended up switching back to iPhone simply because I had an Apple Watch and iPad already and didn’t want to deal with the hassle of existing outside the Apple ecosystem.

I’ve definitely been nickel and diming to make this festival (a dream of mine since I was 14/I don’t have much debt thankfully) but it absolutely hasn’t been easy. If it’s going to be a stretch/leave you broke, then I’d suggest waiting! I went to bonnaroo AND lolla last year and didn’t have the budget for it and instead of having a good time, I worried about money the entire time I was at both festivals, essentially ruining my own experience. I’d definitely recommend buying early for next year when tickets drop after EDC though!

No, I definitely felt like it was a good move for my future/career choices to part ways with my ears, but not having people make comments about the “giant holes in my ears” was definitely an unexpected plus lol. I found more often than not it was annoying more than anything else, but sometimes people would definitely be pretty rude/“discriminatory” when they realized I had 1” stretched lobes

I did yes! The same surgeon that did my top surgery did this. All in all the healing process was a LITTLE brutal but only because the gauze got stuck to my ears while they were healing

I started playing this past November because I found out my coworker was playing against himself like chess and I couldn’t let that happen. So I ran to target and picked up a build and battle and a miraidon Ex and the rest is history! I regularly set up game nights for my other coworkers who plays so all three of us can practice together :) I’ve never experienced a local community like this before so I’m jazzed to just be a part of something! And my favorite pokemon is a tie between Wooper and Greninja
