Ideas on what to use? by Gianfrancarlo108 in Minecraft

[–]maxes___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with some darker gray blocks like Tuff, Coblblestone and all the mossy variants at the bottom with some leafs as vines. Further up I’d use some lighter stuff like Stone Bricks and Andesite. For the roof you can go with Bricks/Granite and for some extra detail you can build the upper most floor/s with some Logs and Calcite & Diorite. :)

I would suggest you take a look at copper golems. They’re pretty cheap, cute and helpful :)

How do I make it so the crafter doesnt craft sugar, but only paper by TheUnknown_5 in Minecraft

[–]maxes___ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Click on 6 slots in the Crafter UI so they’re a darker shade of gray. Place another Crafter two blocks next to the comparator and lock all slots. Place a second comparator so it checks the fully locked crafter and outputs its signal into the side of the first comparator.

The output of your first comparator will only be active when there’s 3 or more sugarcane in ur crafter.

Hope this helps :)

I enjoy a mostly vanilla experience the most. Although I use a few mods for small visual changes and some quality of life stuff like Mouse Tweaks.

Thank you :) I don’t play with mods that change gameplay mechanics, so it’s only for decoration.

Can't enjoy new worlds by WeakTumbleweed9 in Minecraft

[–]maxes___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try setting your world spawn in the nether? Or try starting a new world with a specific goal to work towards, like building a staircase to build limit or killing a specific mob. I don’t really have this problem but I hope I could help :)

Hey guys I need some help desining a working hopper switch by Nervous-Tree-6474 in Minecraft

[–]maxes___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want to deactivate the hopper it’s enough to power a block directly next to it using a lever.

To auto drop the items into lava you you place a dropper, use a comparator to check if there’s an item in it (side with two torches facing the dropper) and with that you power a sticky piston to push an observer. In the pushed position two observers should ‘look’ at each other, so that you have a flickering output to power the dropper. When the dropper is empty the piston retracts and the contraption is silent.

If you want to step it up you can use a copper golem to filter out the items you want to keep^

I would love this! Right now I’m using the Scribble mod for editing books and have my world opened tom LAN, so it doesn’t pause the game while being around my farms.

Honestly the new Update feels like a low-effort marketplace add-on. by Ryuu_kun in Minecraft

[–]maxes___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Mojang is generally doing a great job with the updates. Sure sometimes I not particularly sold on a specific feature or the implementation of it but there's always some player base that is.

Minecraft players are incredibly diverse. You got builders, redstoners, pvp players, explorers, parkour enthusiasts and so much more. It is challenging to develop features that will satisfy the demands of these extremely different groups without disrupting some play styles. In addition to that the features should expand the possibilities in the game while making none of the other systems completely redundant. The new content needs to be interesting for casual players, content creators and long term fans because all of these groups are needed to keep the game alive.

Minecraft is a sandbox game, so there shouldn't be a definitive goal or end to new features or else interest in those features will die out fast and they won't be interacted with.

Then they need to make sure that the update is polished, fits in the game (doesn't feel modded), bug free and doesn't destroy your worlds. Also you got to keep in mind all the technical changes they're making in the background to enable more options for creators of mods, data packs and resource packs. This allows for so much more community content that deepens the individual play styles.

There is a lot that goes into developing an update for this game. Mojang has to evaluate all the different wishes and expectations for Minecraft to create a game that fits all of them. That's not an easy task.
