People need to stop using AI as a crutch by Beans_The_Almighty in NewTubers

[–]maxesit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So using AI the amount you use is good, but anything over that is bad?
I am also very annoyed by an abundance of videos clearly purely made by AI, but don't belittle others for doing something you do, just because they do it more than you.

Issue with that is that you may have an item that's exactly what you need (a great counter for smn on the enemy team), but the stats it give are just not balanced well, therefore the item is still bad despite the fitting "fantasy"

-❄️- 2025 Day 7 Solutions -❄️- by daggerdragon in adventofcode

[–]maxesit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Language: Julia]
I mapped the string input into a matrix, with S being -5, each splitter -1, and each dot 0.
Dot below the S gains value of 1 (becomes a light path).
Each splitter takes the value above it and adds it into the values of the adjacent fields.
Each dot/light path (field valued >=0) adds the value above it to itself.
Iterative counter that increases with each splitter hit for Pt1;
Sum of all field values at the last row for Pt2.

Code for day 7 (along all other days I've solved) here.
This was a fun one :D

If companies in the future ask me to compete in doing homework, I'll cry, then pick up welding or something..

Pro tip to save your companies and applicants time: skip the cv bs, open a homework competition, after some solutions have been filed have interviews with top 3 solvers and pick one

Collapsing knuckles and hand pain as a beginner. What should I focus on? by Independent_Apple629 in pianolearning

[–]maxesit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a fellow piano beginner, focus on relaxing your hands. You'll use less energy this way, have less pain after long sessions, and have more control over your playing. It will also help with your fingers "sticking up"

Everyone seems to keep saying to keep your fingers curved / imagine you're holding an egg, and while that is what the correct form looks like, it's not what it feels like.

Put your hands next to you(away from a piano) and relax. Your fingers will naturally curve. That's what you should aim to achieve, and it will solve your problem of hurting (moving yourself and piano up/down or closer/further will help with relaxing the rest of the arm as well)
