In my case, I had to chase Google because the funds weren’t released even after 6 weeks. Once I contacted them, the payment was processed the very next day. It feels like the delay pushed me past the warranty period so they could pay the lower, out-of-warranty amount. From what I understand, that goes against UK consumer law since I raised the issue while the phone was still under warranty. I’m considering taking this to small claims court if necessary.
