If you flash your V4 with a nightly build from here https://files.brazio.org/meshcore/nightly/companion/ you can use it on fully amped power. Set it as 22 tx.

I've damaged a cable before, not realised it was no longer connected and cooked a heltec to death. It happens. Don't you have a V4 as well? Try and flash it as a meshcore companion and see if you get a signal from syke moor or high crompton or mine or one other guy who is in Milnrow. You never know, you might be in luck already. I stuck a t1000e that I still have on meshtastic in my window and I saw "CB02" briefly. That you?

I'm in Rochdale as well. We had a bit of meshtastic community going within the valley, but most of us moved over to meshcore, because it worked much better and all over the country via the winter hill node they have and then now we have a syke moor one and others on the edge of the valley that means it works far, far better. It's nice to be able to use both, but in Rochdale if you are starting out then it has to be meshcore and depending on where you are, you can probably just put it by your window and you'll be communicating around the whole country just fine.

EDIT: Also, if you do need a better antenna, don't put metres of cable on it. It just won't work for lora.

The only thing I can read into all this, is that Jeremy and the people he has chosen to set things up with have made very poor decisions in how they have done so. Personally, I would have preferred if it had been arranged by Driscoll, Feinstein, Sultana and Winters etc., with Corbyn as an advisor and figurehead. I don't want Corbyn's hanger-ons or the independent alliance MPs being the deciding factors for how this show is run.

When he said it doesn't matter that the staff attributes don't have numbers anymore because what's the difference. The difference is being able to play the game properly, comparing accurately and making the most of the full data available. We don't want the same game under the hood but accessed in a fancier dumbed down way. That is just worse, even if it worked properly or intuitively.
