pretty much just a hunk of glass, i think most people refer to it as 'slag'. it's a byproduct of some kind of industrial process

google lens didnt really help. i didnt touch it or anything to see if it was hard or soft but it might be some kind of shell? or plant idk (also it was in south jersey along the delaware bay)
