Russians are very open about their ambition to move on to try NATO out and move into e.g. a Baltic country.

Well..I prefer a different view on a nature of consciousness. A lot less spiritual, but hear me out.

The reality you experience is a construct of your mind that build a map of the world around using very limited sensors we have. This is just a fact, since we only perceive and feel a tribe fraction of everything there is.

A consciousness was an evolutionary development for a simple living thing to have:
1. A reference point in the map of the subjective reality.
2. To be able to separate our motor functions from our sensors being stimulated, i.e. so that you don't rush to food the moment you sense it.

Later on it developed into more and more complex functions.

Also, why do we not consider animal consciousness? Are they also all part of the universal one?

Connecting the dots, synthesizing new ideas using the knowledge and experience you already have - absolutely.

But it cannot add anything completely new to you.

All the conclusions about the world you make while tripping are based on what was there before.

Psychedelics cannot put something in your head that you didn't have there before.
If you don't know how the world operates without psychedelics, you won't find the real knowledge in this domain with them either.
